IS JOANNE WOODWARD STILL ALIVE?
Woodward, born Joanne Gignilliat Trimmier Woodward on February 27, 1930, is still alive and 92 years old. She married Newman in Las Vegas on January 29, 1958, and became widowed on September 26, 2008.
Their union produced three children. Elinor Teresa Newman, also known as Nell Potts, was born on April 8, 1959, Melissa Steward Newman, born on September 17, 1961, and their last child, Claire Olivia Newman, born on April 21, 1965.
After her children's birth, Woodward returned to her busy career. While caring for her family, she performed in film, television, theater, and ballet and was involved with charities.
