One family from Liverpool, England, was enjoying an evening at home when a tragedy entered their lives without warning. The devastating incident claimed a little girl's life, and the grieving father shared a clip of his precious child.

A Sweet Little Girl

Nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel was a bundle of joy, exuding positivity and love wherever she went. The little angel adored anything pink, and she had a sweet demeanor that allowed her to climb deep into the hearts of many people.

Olivia's father, John Francis Pratt, described her as "a real bright spark who knew her mind, had no problem making friends (she would talk to anyone) and loved to laugh and make people laugh."

Snatched Away from Her Loved Ones

The little girl was "cruelly snatched away" from her loved ones in August 2022 when a gunman killed her while she was in her home. The shocking incident left everyone traumatized and grieving for the child. John said:

"Words can’t express the pain we are going through. Those responsible need to know what they have done. We have been deprived of a real light in our lives."

The Family Shared a Video of Their Angel

To display the abundant joy within Olivia, her dad released a heartbreakingly beautiful video taken while they were on the merry-go-round at a market in Liverpool. The clip captured the essence of the little girl and struck a chord in the hearts of many people.

The giggling little girl was excited as she clung to her father for support while showing off a cheery smile. She also played hide and seek with the camera and undeniably enjoyed her carefree youth—tragically, it was cut short.

Creating a Safe Place for Everyone

The family was grateful for the inpouring of support and kindness. The dad asked citizens to come forward if they had any helpful information, and the police also appealed to anyone who may have evidence to assist in the case.

John insisted that more needed to be done to combat these instances of violence so no other kids would face the same fate as his daughter. He expressed:

"We don’t want another child to lose their life ... and we don't want to see another family suffer like we are suffering now. Olivia’s death cannot be in vain, and we want people to feel safe and be safe."
