Prince Harry was one of the family members that rushed to be by his grandmother's side when he found out her doctors were concerned about her health. He traveled from London to Scotland alone.

Previous reports said that his wife, Meghan, would accompany him on the journey, but later reports confirmed that she would not be traveling with her husband. It has been confirmed that the couple will reunite later this week.

The Royal family announced the Queen's death via Twitter late on Thursday evening, and soon after "BBC News" confirmed their announcement. It was then reported that King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla would remain at Balmoral for the evening.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were already in the UK when the Queen was placed under medical supervision as they had planned to attend the WellChild Awards together. However, after the Queen's death, they have canceled all previous commitments, says "People."

"People" also reported that Prince William traveled with other family members but left his wife, Duchess Kate, at home with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and prince Louis as the children had just started at a new school.

While the Queen was a monarch and head of state, she was simply the family's matriarch and someone they could turn to when they needed advice. She shared a close bond with each family member, but her relationship with Prince Harry was the most unique.

Harry and The Queen's Unique Bond

"Mirror" revealed that the Queen helped her grandsons get through the death of their mother in 1997. The publication said that when she got news of Diana's death just after midnight, she instructed staff to let the boys sleep before they told them the tragic news.

According to "Mirror," she also instructed staff at Balmoral Castle, where the boys were staying at the time, to hide TVs and radios so that Prince Harry and Prince William didn't have to see the constant news coverage.

The publication also reported that Harry spoke about the importance of having the Queen in his life, saying:

"Having lost my mother at a young age, it's been particularly important to me that I've had somebody like the Queen to look up to and who's been there and who has understood some of the more complex issues when you lose a loved one,"

They also reported that Harry talked about how supportive the Queen had been and how much he appreciated having her in his life. Per the publication, she even gave Meghan her blessing to join the royal family despite her background.

"Us Weekly" showed the many instances in which Harry and the Queen had displayed their strong bond. Moments like Harry holding an umbrella for the Queen and the Queen Mother at the 1995 Christmas church service were shared.

The publication then reported that in 2003, the Queen and Harry smiled at Guards Polo Club in June. Prince Harry then made the Queen laugh at his father's wedding in 2005 by making a funny face, says "Us Weekly."

Making funny faces at funerals is not the only time Prince Harry made his grandmother laugh, "Us Weekly" reports. In fact, Prince Harry enjoyed pranking his grandmother and reports say that she "let her guard down" when it came to Prince Harry.

"Us Weekly" shared that Prince Harry took over a personal answering service, which apparently shocked the Queen's secretary. The message Prince Harry left on the machine said:

“Hey, wassup? This is Liz! Sorry, I’m away from the throne. For a hotline to Philip, press one, for Charles press two, for the corgis, press three.”

At another wedding, between Peter Phillip and Autumn Kelly in May 2008, Prince Harry displayed his love for his grandmother by placing a sweet kiss on her cheek, reports the publication.

In May 2013, the pair again displayed their bond when Prince Harry showed his grandmother the RHS Chelsea Fowler show in London. These are just a few moments between Prince Harry and the Queen that "Us Weekly" shared.

In a YouTube video posted by The Royal Family, Prince Harry and the Queen can be seen sitting on a couch, talking about The Invictus Games. Prince Harry is showing his grandmother a book on the games and telling her about the competitors featured in the book.

The pair then watched a video on Prince Harry's phone sent by former First Lady of the US, Michelle Obama. In it, Michelle Obama and her husband, former US president Barack Obama, warn Prince Harry that they'll "bring it" at the Invictus Games, to which the Queen replies, "Oh, please."

The video had many comments saying how cute the pair was together and that their love for one another was evident. This was confirmed to "People" by a friend of the Royal family who revealed that the Queen "adored" Harry.

The friends said to "People" that the Queen showed a side of herself to Prince Harry that she did not readily reveal to the rest of the world. The friend also confirmed that the Queen would almost always say yes if Prince Harry asked her for something.

"Mirror" reports that although there was a general concern about Meghan Markle in the Royal family when Prince Harry introduced them when Prince Harry asked his grandmother for her blessing to marry Meghan, she gave it.

The publication says that she gave her blessing "without hesitation" because she trusted Prince Harry to make the right decision for his future. "Mirror," says the Queen even felt like Meghan was a positive influence in Prince Harry's life.

Katie Nicholl, who authored "Harry: Life, Loss, and Love," told "Mirror" that the Queen was pleased by the union, saying:

"I was told by one of the Queen's closest aides shortly after the engagement announcement that the monarch was genuinely delighted that Harry had found someone who made him so happy,"

Harry's Relationship With The Queen After His Exit From The Royal Family

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down from their roles as senior royals, many wanted to know how his grandmother felt about the decision as there had been reports that they had decided without informing anyone, as "Us Weekly" reports.

The publication said that before Prince Harry and Meghan decided to step down as senior royals, the Queen made it clear to him that she would support him in whatever he chose to do.

Prince Harry said he had too much respect for his grandmother not to tell her what he was thinking about doing. A source also told "Us Weekly" that after his grandfather's death, Prince Harry returned to the UK to spend time with his grandmother, and when he returned to Montecito, he left her a gift and a card for her birthday, which he would be missing.

After exiting the Royal family, "People" confirmed that Prince Harry and the Queen's relationship was still very much intact. They mentioned that Harry ensured he kept his grandmother updated on his life and his young children using video calls.

They also mentioned how difficult it was for the Queen to oscillate between being a sympathetic grandmother and a world leader who needed to think about the safety and security of her institution.

It was confirmed by "People" that Prince Harry and Meghan brought their children along to the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations. It was the first time the Queen met Prince Harry's daughter, Lilibet, the Queen's namesake.
