While all of us experience some good things in life, we also have some bad times that leave a lasting impact on us. Similarly, Penny Wittbrodt's life was nothing short of a roller-coaster ride.

The 52-year-old retired nurse went through many ups and downs, some of which made her question fate's plans. However, she had no idea that one day, she would meet God and get answers to the questions that had bothered her all her life.

The Good and the Bad

Like most of us, Wittbrodt had experienced some bitter things in life, and one of them was her divorce. Whenever she thought about her early days as a mother, her mind would fill up with moments she didn't want to think about.

She revealed that her ex-husband left her when their children were just babies. While it was hard for her to experience the newfound feeling of being abandoned, her heart broke when she looked at her children waiting for their father.

"Watching those kids talk to him on the telephone and then go to the mailbox every day to check for a gift that he said he was going to send," Wittbrodt recalled of some heart-wrenching moments from the past.

The Resentment

Wittbrodt felt her children didn't deserve to see their family break up. The bad experiences of her life had developed feelings of resentment in her heart. Little did she know that an unusual incident would soon change her perspective.

Wittbrodt claimed she met God and complained to Him about all the hardships she and her children had to endure.

In 2014 and 2016, Wittbrodt underwent life-changing near-death experiences. She revealed that she was highly allergic to shellfish, to the extent that she would have a life-threatening anaphylactic episode.

The Other World

One day, Wittbrodt suddenly felt difficulty swallowing and breathing. The nurse in her quickly understood what was happening and asked her son to drive her to the hospital. She was experiencing anaphylaxis.

A physician assistant checked her as she struggled to breathe in the hospital's hallway. It seemed like she wouldn't make it, but what happened next was unbelievable. Wittbrodt claimed her soul left her body, and she looked at herself and said:

"Man, who is that girl? She's pretty sick."

Her Grandmother

"Time here [on Earth] is so structured, and time there really gets away from you," she recalled while talking about the spirit world she had unexpectedly entered. She was in the void after she went into a coma.

Wittbrodt claimed she saw a bright light before her grandmother's spirit appeared and telepathically told her to remain calm. Wittbrodt recalled:

"I'm so relieved that someone's there, and I'm not alone."

Unreal Experiences

While spending her time in the other world, Wittbrodt discovered that her thoughts were turning into reality in no time. She recalled seeing bright yellow flowers as soon as she thought about them. She said:

"Each flower has its own vibration, and its own song, and its own smell and taste. And you don’t have to get near it to experience it."

Then, Wittbrodt claimed she met God and complained to Him about all the hardships she and her children had to endure. She asked Him why He allowed her children to suffer and got the answers to all her questions.

The Confirmation

According to Wittbrodt, God's responses made her understand that the suffering in this world would be rewarded in the afterlife. She also saw a glimpse of the future, where her son, David, was watching his son play soccer.

"

Mom,

I'm going to be the dad to him that I deserved

," she

him say. David would then repeat the same sentence years later while watching his son play. Wittbrodt considered this experience a sign from God and a "confirmation" of her other-worldly experience.

However, Wittbrodt was worried when it was time for her to return from the spiritual world. She didn't want to stop floating in the void. It was a surreal experience that she couldn't adequately describe in words.

The Lesson

Wittbrodt said she asked God to let her remember this experience before she returned. She thought she would feel hopeless if she forgot her surreal experience and recalled crying while leaving the other reality.

Wittbrodt claimed she was healed after she woke up from her coma. She revealed the experience had cured her anaphylaxis, and her perspective on life had changed entirely.

"We're meant to move forward, meet challenges, and share kindness," she said. After conversing with her creator, the biggest lesson she learned was that earthly comforts don't hold the same value in the afterlife. It's the hardships and struggles that bear fruit.

She shared her unreal experience with others in multiple interviews and podcasts. She also tells people that we get a chance to choose our family and what life lessons we want to learn before we come into this world. Wittbrodt added:

"I try to remind people that because before you came, you knew what traumas you were going to face."
