On Thursday, October 6, 2022, an unforeseen and soul-crushing occurrence shook the Leominster community in Massachusetts. According to the Massachusetts State Police, a yellow-colored 2001 Ford Mustang met with a horrific accident.

Per the authorities and school officials, the teenager was an 11th-grade junior at Ayer Shirley Regional High School.

According to law enforcement authorities, the driver of the Mustang was traveling northbound in the right lane. However, as he approached other vehicles in the right lane, the driver moved into the left lane and lost control of the car.

An Unspeakable Tragedy

According to a press release from the Massachusetts State Police, the Mustang "went off the highway, down an embankment, and into the wood line." Police responded to the crash and arrived at the scene after 7 p.m. on Thursday. Leominster Fire Chief Robert Sideleau said:

"The car was on its roof. It was probably less than 30 minutes that the whole operation was over with."

The yellow Mustang was reportedly occupied by four teenagers — two male and two female passengers. An 18-year-old man from Shirley, who was thought to be the driver, was taken to Leominster Hospital.

The other two occupants, a 16-year-old girl from Shirley and an 18-year-old man from Bolton, were transported to UMass Hospital-Lakeside. Sadly, the tragic accident claimed the life of one teenager, a 16-year-old girl from Ayer.
