Kelsy Ully's Blindside That Signaled the End of Her Short-Lived Marriage to Jonathan Scott
Kelsy Ully reportedly hoped to strike it lucky by marrying her illusionist boyfriend Jonathan Scott when the Gregorian calendar turned its page to triple sevens, on July 7, 2007. Fatefully, the Las Vegas couple did not hit the jackpot.
Through arguably long-for-impulsive Vegas ties, the short-lived union between Kelsy Ully and Jonathan Scott spawned an ugly divorce that dragged on for years. The 2017 publication of the divorce filing paints the wholesome HGTV star in a very different light.
The "Property Brothers" star has not married again but is in a long-term relationship with actress and singer Zooey Deschanel. His first wife returned to Canada, where she has a successful corporate career and a litter of fur babies.
Kelsy Ully Wanted to Marry on a Special Date
Scott claims that his first wife pushed their wedding to be on a specific date, 07/07/07. The HGTV star says that the hasty union did not happen naturally and fell apart before their cotton wedding anniversary in 2009.
Ully, then a scheduler at WestJet, and Scott met in their native Canada. They moved to Las Vegas, where he hoped to spark his illusionist career, and she worked as a cocktail waitress at one of the major hotels. Her husband accused her of going out every night.
In his duel memoir with his twin Drew, "It Takes Two: Our Story," he claims that the pair's first fight was a "doozy," she had scrubbed her hubby from her Facebook account and updated the relationship status from "married" to blank.

How Kelsy Ully and Jonathan Scott's Marriage Took an Ugly Turn
The TV star wrote that he was heartbroken that she had stopped going to their couple's therapy. Ully claims that Scott kicked her out of their home on November 2009.
Having supported her ex during his early career, Ully believed she was owed more and refused to sign the divorce papers; as a previous contract she signed, his mother drew that up, had a discrepancy of over $190 000 of the proceeds of the house.
In their eventual divorce filing, she revealed how Scott hounded her and her loved ones over the phone and in person at her home and work, to sign the divorce document. He allegedly threatened that she could never win and would be bankrupt forever.

Ully and Scott reached an undisclosed settlement in 2013. The former couple did not have children. Ully's identity was revealed in 2017 when a magazine published snippets from the divorce filing from her perspective.
On LinkedIn, she describes herself as approachable, and professional, and easily builds rapport with all.
The reality star shared the lesson he took from the ordeal: "I think that one of the biggest things I learned is that you can have two good people who are just not good for each other."
Where Is Kelsy Ully Now?
Ully had jumped quite a few rungs on the corporate ladder to get from the entry-level position she filled when she met the future "Property Brothers" presenter to being a director at Impel Systems in Alberta, Canada.
In this role, she is responsible for the marketing and business development of the mid-sized automation solutions company. She has held this position since May 2016. On LinkedIn, she describes herself as approachable, and professional, and easily builds rapport with all.
Following Ully's excessively messy divorce from Scott, she worked as a project manager at a Canadian real estate firm. She is based in Calgary, Canada. However, it is unclear if she has remarried.
Judging from her few open internet profiles, she lives a full life with a trio of fur babies, two of which are named Wiggles and Oreo. The blonde is seen socializing with friends outdoors and posting motivational memes like "breath” and "dream big."
