Singer, songwriter, and actress Kandi Burruss is married to former "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" line producer Todd Tucker, a reality star in his own right.

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress Kandi Burruss Tucker's husband is a man she met on the set of the reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Todd Tucker.

While fans know all there is to know about Mrs. Tucker, Todd Tucker is less famous, even though he is a reality star in his own right, with a podcast and a very active social media presence.

Kandi Burruss was born in Georgia on May 17, 1976, and she started singing when she was in high school. She formed Xscape with Tameka "Tiny," Harris, LaTocha Scott, and Tamika Scott.

Kandi proved to be a talented songwriter as well as a performer. She didn't just write for Xscape; she wrote TLC's #1 hit "No Scrubs," which won her the 2000 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.

Kandi welcomed her first child, Riley Burruss, with ex-boyfriend Russell Spencer of Block Entertainment in 2002. Kandi became engaged to Ashley "A.J." Jewell in 2009. He passed away a few months later from injuries sustained in a fight.

Todd and Kandi tied the knot in a lavish “Coming to America” themed celebration.

When Todd started dating Kandi in 2011, he became a T.V. star too, and part of the cast of the program he had been producing. Since then, Todd has been busy with his production company and his YouTube channel, "Speak On It with Todd Tucker."

Kandi joined RHOA, and she quickly caught Todd's eye but dating the stars of the show was strictly forbidden. However, on the cast trip to Africa in 2011, Todd crossed the line. He confessed:

"I was trying to play it cool in Africa as it's against the rules to cross the line with the talent. In production, that's a big NO-NO! … I loved her smile; she had a great butt! LOL! She seemed very humble and genuine."

They spent one magical African night talking, and Todd wished Kandi goodnight with a kiss. The relationship developed, and Todd had to choose between dating Kandi and working on RHOA. He quit his job.

Todd proposed to Kandi on New Year's Day 2013 at a party in their home. The producer got down on one knee in time-honored tradition and presented the singer with a two-carat sparkler. Of course, Kandi said yes. She admitted:

"I never get tired of talking to him. To be honest with you, I never dated anybody longer than two years prior to Todd."

On April 4, 2014, Todd and Kandi tied the knot in a lavish "Coming to America" themed celebration attended by their families, friends, and of course, seen by all the RHOA fans.

Todd and Kandi started with a ready-made family: her daughter Riley Burruss and his daughter Kaela Tucker, but they wanted to have a child together. Kandi went through the harrowing experience of IVF to conceive their baby.

Once their son Ace Wells was born on January 6, 2016, all the anguish and difficulties were forgotten. Still, Kandi and Todd wanted more children and opted to have their second child together through surrogacy. Kandi had fears and doubts as she explained:

"Being a woman who has birthed my previous children, [that] automatically was a concern of mine. Like, will me and Blaze have the same connection?"

Todd and Kandi's daughter Blaze was born on November 22, 2019, and all her doubts were swept away. The family now boasts five children, and Kandi frequently shares photos of the whole family on social media.

"We’ve got that forever kind of love! Happy Anniversary my love!!! @todd167 you were the perfect man for me. I’m a better me with you! 😘❤️ 8 years down & a lifetime to go!"

Todd shared his feelings about their marriage and wrote about "8 years of blessings." Boasting that they have the kind of love that lasts forever, he gushed about loving his "amazing wife."
