"I have tears in my eyes. I'm not kidding." Luckily she had lots of support after her diagnosis.
Christina Applegate has filled many roles over the years. She has been on Saturday Night Live, flexing her comedic muscles, and worked with prominent figures in Hollywood. Recently, though, she has embarked on an entirely new journey.
She most recently starred in the TV show "Dead To Me." While filming the show's final season, she was unfortunately diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). She has been reclusive ever since, privately dealing with the symptoms of her disease.

The actress recounted how she realized something was wrong while filming "Dead To Me." Initially, she had no idea what was going on. She would often feel weak and tired. Eventually, she was diagnosed in 2021.
She received a supportive message from her hero, Captain Lee Rosbach, encouraging her to say strong and keep moving forward.
She commented that shooting the show's final season was one of the most challenging experiences of her life. Her health kept degrading, and at one point, she couldn't make it onto the set without a wheelchair.
How Does She Cope with the Disease?
Although going to work was a challenge for Applegate, she said it also helped distract her from the reality of MS. Her entire life changed when she was diagnosed, and being busy helped take her mind off her illness.
In 2008, Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer, and LeNoble was there for her.

Being a comedian, Applegate also turned to humor to help her cope with the diagnosis and to make those around her feel more comfortable. She expressed that she didn't want people to act differently around her now that she has MS:
"When people see me now as a disabled person, I want them to feel comfortable that we can laugh about it."
She received a supportive message from her hero, Captain Lee Rosbach, encouraging her to say strong and keep moving forward. The "Anchorman" actress was left dumbfounded and said, "I have tears in my eyes. I'm not kidding."
Her Husband and Daughter Is Always near Her
Besides her favorite superyacht captain, Applegate also has her husband and daughter behind her. The "Married...With Children" actress has known her spouse, Martyn LeNoble, for a long time, but they only decided to tie the knot in 2013.
LeNoble is originally from Holland but moved to Los Angeles when he was young to pursue his passion for music. He started with very little to his name but soon became a successful bassist for various famous alternative and punk bands.

In 2008, Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer, and LeNoble was there for her. After her treatment, the two decided to get married, and in 2011, they brought their daughter Sadie LeNoble into the world. Applegate commented on her husband's support:
"I'm very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he's been my rock through all of this. He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about."
After his wife's MS diagnosis, LeNoble backed his wife once again. Despite the debilitating diagnosis, he and their daughter take care of Applegate, and just like when she had cancer, he has stuck with her.
