Rude Boy Mocks Girl from Shelter, Finds Himself on Bed Next to Hers a Week Later – Karma Story
Angelo was always a mean child who bullied kids at his school. Soon, abandonment led him on a difficult path to redemption, thanks to a young girl who taught him to be humble.
Growing up in a poor neighborhood made Angelo rough around the edges. He only knew how to fight his way out of trouble and was often aggressive with his classmates. At home, his mother, Pam, was cruel to him and never showed him warmth. She would often scream at him, saying, "You're just like your father!"
When he was a toddler, Angelo's father left him and his mother to fend for themselves. Angelo grew up hating him. His mother often struggled to hold down jobs and eventually gave up working altogether. Pam would regularly find new boyfriends, and Angelo hated all of them.
Pam began dating a man named Jeffrey, who treated Angelo quite poorly. Angelo would prefer to spend time getting into trouble in the neighborhood. At his school, many kids had similar problems to Angelo and would be considered misfits. There were always arguments, and kids often teased each other for no reason.

One day, Angelo was walking to class with a few other boys. On the way past the girl's bathroom, he bumped into a girl named Daisy and fell down. "Oh, I'm sorry, Angelo. Here, let me help you up," Daisy said. Angelo started insulting Daisy. "Stay out of my way, shelter girl. Why don't you find a real house!" Angelo shouted at her.
His friend laughed as they all walked away from the girl who was left embarrassed. Daisy was a sweet, quiet girl who had been abandoned the previous year by her father. She lived in a shelter up the road because she had no other family. Most kids at school had seen her walking from the shelter to school.
"We might have different parents, but Daisy is like the sister I never had."
Despite her hardship, she was always kind, and her teachers did what they could to help her. A week later, Angelo returned from school and put down his bags. He heard Jeffrey call for him from the kitchen and reluctantly went to speak to him. He found Pam and Jeffrey both waiting for him and noticed that she had a bag packed.
"Listen, Angelo. I can't afford this place anymore, so I'm gonna go live with Jeffrey. I arranged for the city to pay for you to go to school from now on," Pam told him. "But I don't wanna live with Jeffrey. Isn't there somewhere I could go?" Angelo pleaded. Pam looked to the ground and sighed.

"Look, kid, there isn't space at my place anyway. You're gonna have to go and live in the shelter. I can't afford you," Jeffrey said sternly. Angelo couldn't believe it. He packed up his clothes while wiping tears from his face. For the second time, he was abandoned, first by his dad and now by his mom.
When he was dropped off at the shelter, he saw a familiar face. Daisy was there with a confused look on her face. Angelo was anxious and frightened. He had never been alone in a situation like this before. To his surprise, Daisy offered to help him. She told him to follow her lead.
"Introduce yourself to everyone at the shelter, and be polite. This isn't the playground," Daisy told him.
Angelo was nervous and struggled to approach people. "I—I don't know how to be polite," he admitted to Daisy. He explained that nobody treated him kindly or taught him how to be kind to others. This is why he was so used to being mean.
"Instead of fighting, try to help where you can. Other than that, just talk to people honestly and listen when they speak," Daisy explained.
"I'm sorry I was mean to you in school. You're lovely. If it's not too much to ask, could I learn from you? I have no one else to turn to," Angelo replied.

Daisy smiled and agreed. While she was still angry about how Angelo treated her, she could tell that he was only like that because he was raised that way. Daisy taught him how to help take care of the orphaned toddlers at the shelters. Together, they assisted with cleaning.
Soon, Angelo knew everyone's names and was a lot friendlier than before. Daisy and Angelo became close friends and began going to school together.
One day, after class, Angelo was confronted by one of his old friends. "Hey, Angelo. What are you doing with the shelter girl? Are you the shelter boy now?" a bully asked while chuckling.
"Hey man, back off. Daisy is the best person I know. She is sweet and treats people with respect. Maybe you should try to do the same!" Angelo said.
Daisy was proud of Angelo for defending her dignity. A few months later, a young couple, Peter and Rosie, came to the shelter. They had been looking to adopt a boy and a girl for a few months. They spotted Angelo and Daisy helping out in the soup kitchen.

"Hi there. Are you two siblings?" asked Rosie. Daisy hesitated for a second and turned to Angelo. Confidently, Angelo replied to the couple, saying, "We might have different parents, but Daisy is like the sister I never had." Daisy got emotional and hugged Angelo, who wiped the tears from her face.
Two weeks later, Peter and Rosie returned to the shelter and adopted Angelo and Daisy. From that day on, they were really brother and sister and had each other's backs no matter what. Their new foster parents were extremely kind and made sure to give them a life that their birth parents couldn't give them.
Later in life, Angelo and Daisy helped each other find their birth parents so they could forgive them for abandoning them at such a young age.
