Besides being a famous athlete, Lane Kiffin was once married to his wife, Layla Kiffin, with whom he welcomed three children. The former couple have since gone their separate ways due to some issues in their marriage, along with some infidelity rumors.

In 2015, rumors alleged that Layla's husband had an affair with a high-profile woman in Alabama, threatening his career. However, he was never fired from his job as the University of Alabama offensive coordinator at the time.

When the cheating rumors began, Josh Maxson, the director of communications for Alabama football, spoke up in Lane's defense. Without saying much, Maxson said he wouldn't comment on the "crazy" and "stupid" rumors. He also shared how Layla's then-husband was still "obviously" employed and remained the college football team's offensive coordinator.

Who Are Lane and Layla Kiffin's Children?

In January 2009, Lane welcomed his third child, Monte Knox Kiffin, who joined his older sisters, Landry and Presley. The news of Knox's birth coincided with that month's Kentucky-Tennessee basketball game.

Tiffany Carpenter, the Tennessee Athletics spokeswoman, shared that the little boy was welcomed at a California hospital at 21 inches long and weighing eight pounds, eight ounces. The boy was named after his grandfather, Monte Kiffin.

Along with his siblings, Knox has grown, and he is following in his father's footsteps by becoming an athlete. According to his X account, he's a football player. His social media account has 2,834 followers, and he's following 64 others.

The former couple separated the month before, revealing that the decision they made was mutual.

Meanwhile, Landry has an Instagram account with 27 posts about her life, including her college graduation in 2023. Layla's daughter has 15.7K followers and is following 2,063 accounts.

Like Landry, Presley has an Instagram account but is less active with 16 posts. She has 5,237 followers and is following 2,265 accounts. She is more active on her TikTok account, which has a following of 6800 accounts; and where she follows 1119 people and has 312.8K likes. Sadly, the trio's family fell apart years ago.

When Did Lane Kiffin’s Wife, Layla Kiffin, Decide to Become His Ex?

On March 4, 2016, Lane's wife shocked his fans when she ended their marriage. She filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences." At the time, the children were still minors.

Layla asked for joint custody but wanted primary physical custody while her husband would have visitation rights. She also wanted spousal support as she and the former football player continued trying to resolve other issues.
