Sammy Schuster Is Juju Smith-Schuster's 'Momager' – Meet the Football Player's Mother
Sammy Schuster played a crucial role in JuJu Smith-Schuster's successful journey to the National Football League. Over the past few years, the supermom has undergone tremendous changes in her role as a mother.
Despite facing challenges such as raising a large family, Sammy Schuster has consistently exhibited unwavering devotion as a mother—whether at home or in her son JuJu Smith-Schuster's NFL career.
JuJu is becoming a star in his own right, and Sammy has become his source of inspiration. Furthermore, his mother is a shining beacon of love and perseverance for their family.

JuJu has recently found a new home with the New England Patriots. He has reportedly signed a three-year contract with the Patriots, bringing his skills and talents to a new field of play.
Sammy, the proud mother of the NFL star, relishes her son's recent accomplishments. She has acted as her son's "momager" since after the Pittsburgh Steelers selected him in the 2017 NFL draft.
JuJu began playing football at eight years old and pursuing the sport has been his dream. With how well he does on the field, it's clear that his mom's hard work has paid off.
Sammy Schuster Is a Mother of Seven Kids
JuJu is the second oldest of Sammy's seven children. After JuJu's biological father abandoned the family, Sammy raised JuJu and her oldest daughter alone until she met Lawrence Schuster through a mutual friend when the NFL star was four years old.
Although Lawrence instantly fell in love with Sammy, it seemed that JuJu's mom initially had difficulty reciprocating her feelings to Lawrence because of her family obligations. She said:
"When you have two kids and try to get into another relationship, it's hard to find someone who is not only going to love you, but also your kids."
Sammy and Lawrence got married in 2002 after two years of dating. She recognized Lawrence's efforts as a "good man" with a loving heart. The couple went on to have more children.
JuJu's siblings had difficulties, like not getting holiday presents. He empathized with his siblings and shared that he had gone through the same experiences, including going years without receiving gifts and having to share gifts at times.
Although JuJu did not receive many gifts as a child, he received support from his stepfather Lawrence in pursuing football. Lawrence introduced JuJu to the sport, and they developed a strong bond.
Sammy Schuster Is on Team JuJu
Sammy has been actively involved in her son's career, attending nearly all his games except one in Boston in 2015. Like her son, Sammy is also an enthusiastic social media user, with 25,000 followers on Instagram.
Although Sammy admitted to lacking formal marketing experience, her role as a mother provided her with valuable life experience.
Some fans, however, were unamused when her son switched teams from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Kansas City Chiefs. Sammy claimed they lost around 400,000 followers after moving to a new team.
Sammy stated on Instagram Story, clarifying to Steelers fans that her son did not decide to leave the franchise, but rather that the decision was made by the organization.
In 2018, JuJu announced that his mom would become his manager. On her Instagram page, she refers to herself as the CEO of JuJu, while Sammy playfully calls herself a "momager."

She clarified that she is only a caring mother and does not hold a particular title for herself. She stated that she ensures that tasks are completed on time, that contractors are dispatched as needed, and that promises are kept.
Sammy said her son was "very marketable," and everyone could relate to him. JuJu, on the other hand, stated that his mother's guidance was the best option for him, and he relies on her advice regarding business matters as she always knows what's best.
Sammy Schuster Received Death Threats after Her Son Danced on Opponents' Logos
Under Sammy's management, JuJu has delighted fans by dancing and posing for the camera on his YouTube channel, boasting over 1 million subscribers. He has secured many deals with well-known brands, including Call of Duty, Pizza Hut, Adidas, and New Era.
Although Sammy admitted to lacking formal marketing experience, her role as a mother provided her with valuable life experience. Despite their fame, the son-mom duo also faced public backlash. In 2020, Sammy claimed to have received death threats.
The reported death threats happened after her son scored a touchdown in the Steelers' 28-24 win against the Indianapolis Colts and his subsequent dancing on the opposing team's logo.
Even though JuJu garnered criticism, Sammy always supported him when things got challenging, especially when he reportedly suffered an injury in 2022.
In response to concerned fans, Sammy promptly reassured them by saying, "My Baby is OKAY," and thanked the fans for their love and support.
JuJu is one of the sought-after young NFL stars, along with players like Trevor Lawrence and Patrick Mahomes. They are following in the footsteps of football icons like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
