'Everybody Loves Raymond's Sullivan Sweeten's Life after Twin Sawyer's Sudden Death at Aunt's House
"Everybody Loves Raymond" twins Sullivan and Sawyer Sweeten were inseparable in the sitcom and in real life. Sawyer's death, two weeks before his 20th birthday, left a deep wound in his twin brother's life. However, Sullivan didn't give up on acting completely after his twin's death and ensured to honor him right.
Sawyer and Sullivan Sweeten were born in Brownwood, Texas, in 1995. Their father, Timothy Sweeten, was a film producer and screenwriter, while his wife, Elizabeth Millsap, was an actress.
The family ended up relocating to Los Angeles, and when the Sweeten twin boys appeared for the first time on "Everyone Loves Raymond" in 1997, they were 18 months old. The two boys got to star alongside their sister, Madilyn Sweeten.

Sullivan and his brother had a strong bond and were inseparable, starring in 130 episodes of the series. In 2000 at age five, the pair were interviewed on the "Donny & Marie Osmond Talk Show" with their sister.
The duo appeared thrilled to be starring in the series, loved being with their co-stars, and enjoyed the attention they received. At one point, Marie Osmond asked the pair if they liked being twins, and as Sullivan hugged him, Sawyer said:
"Yeah, we like it."

Sadly, Sullivan didn't anticipate that he and his brother would be separated one day. What was probably the hardest for him was that they were heartbreakingly separated as young adults.
What Happened to Sawyer?
In April 2015, Sawyer's family revealed they were in "absolute shock" after he died by suicide. The star's manager, Dino May, claimed he'd never seen suicide warnings before the death.
Sawyer was 19 when he passed away while on vacation in Austin, Texas, visiting family members at his aunt, Chele Knapp Robinette's house with his immediate family. His death happened while he was upstairs and his family was downstairs.
May said Sawyer had never expressed depression or anything else that would've alerted them. He shared how the young actor had been a "good kid" focused on teenage things, was very quiet, anti-drugs, and shy.

Sawyer's family was left reeling from the loss and trying to figure out what had gone wrong. Jacklyn Stines, the Sweeten twins' cousin, said their sister had been protective and close to them.
However, the identical twins were closest to each other and did everything together. Sullivan and Sawyer even bought a California home they'd shared together, with Stines confessing how she worried about the twin that was left behind.
She wasn't sure how the "Frank McKlusky, C.I." star would handle things as he'd never been apart from his brother. Stines hoped the family kept an eye on the boy as he and Sawyer had only lived for a year at their new home.

The Sweeten cousin described the twins as good boys with four younger sisters, whom she worried about. Sawyer's death was described as a "tragedy," and it happened weeks away from his 20th birthday, but Sullivan managed to move on.
What Type of Life Does Sullivan Live after His Brother Died?
After losing Sawyer, Sullivan lived a generally private life. However, he didn't stop acting, and in 2017 he appeared in the movie "Casting," but before that film, he was featured on episodes of "What Not to Wear" and "The Dr. Oz Show" as himself.

In April 2019, Madylin and Sullivan appeared in a black-and-white Instagram photo on her account. The siblings were seen embracing at Sawyer's Playhouse, a place they created to celebrate and honor their late brother's life.
The late star's family gathered together for years after his death at the Loft Ensemble, a theater company based in Los Angeles. The Sweetens and their blended family went to North Hollywood, California's St. Matthew Lutheran Church, to pay tribute to Sawyer.
Even though his life had changed immensely after the loss, Sullivan and his family put their feelings and grief aside as they restored two old theaters on the church's grounds. The restorations were done in remembrance of the late actor.
