Amanda Martin Was a Bank Employee before Her Career on TV
Amanda Martin stole the hearts of many viewers on "Iron Resurrection" after leading a noteworthy career in the banking industry. The TV anchor has also been part of life-saving campaigns in her philanthropic endeavors and is a family woman.
Amanda Martin's success in two completely different industries has been widely recognized by fans. Though it's unclear if she plans to remain within the entertainment industry, she still has her hands full as a businesswoman and philanthropist.
Amanda is also a family woman, married to Joe Martin, with three children. She is also a dedicated pet mom to three adorable dogs and a loving aunt to her nephews, one of whom battled a severe health issue.
Amanda Martin Worked at the Bank until She Joined the "Iron Resurrection" Show
The Texas native worked as a Branch Manager and Vice President at Wells Fargo from March 2007 to December 2011. The following year in January, she started as an Acting Vice President and Branch Manager at Pioneer Bank.
She remained in that position for three years, after which she was promoted to VP of Deposit Operations. Finally, Amanda became the Product Manager before leaving the institution in November 2017.
By the time Amanda left Pioneer Bank, she had already joined the cast of "Iron Ressurection," as her first episode dates back to 2016. She would go on to appear in 42 more before the show's end in 2021.
"Iron Resurrection" is the only show Amanda has been a part of, and it's unknown if she plans to continue being an anchor. She is active on social media, and although she fills her Instagram page with vehicle and family content, her dogs also make regular appearances.
Amanda even made a separate page for the little companions. The TV star has used both her and their accounts to contribute to dog rescue initiatives. She partnered with Southern California Pit Bull Rescue on her birthday last month to help raise funds for the non-profit dog rescue organization.
Amanda has kept her personal life private, ensuring her children are protected from the spotlight. There's also little known about her background apart from the fact that she has an older brother and younger sister, and her family is close-knit.
It's also unknown when she and Joe married, but her mom announced their engagement in a December 2012 Facebook post. She revealed that Joe had asked for Amanda's hand in marriage on her birthday as a surprise.
Amanda Martin Is an Aunt of 3 Kids; One of Them Had a Brain Tumor
In 2017, Amanda and Joe announced that their nephew, Luke, had been diagnosed with an Anaplastic Ependymoma grade 3 brain tumor, known for its "very aggressive nature." Luke had already undergone three brain surgeries but needed further treatment that the insurance wouldn't cover.
His family set up a Gofundme account, linked in the FB post, to raise funds for a fourth surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. They hoped to raise $100,000, and at the time of publication, 349 people had donated over $90,000.
The last update on Luke's Gofundme, in September 2017, said he was undergoing radiation and doing great. Amanda, known as "Aunt D" by her nephews, has since been passionate about childhood cancer research and often promotes fundraisers for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Amanda Martin and Her Husband Joe Attend Car Shows
Amanda – who shot to fame like Jake from State Farm with a passion for cars like Frances Cain's ex-husband, Jeremy Clarkson – and Joe attended the SEMA Show in November 2017, something the couple frequently enjoyed doing. When asked what they looked forward to at the car show, Amanda responded:
"I think I'm most excited to see the builders I've never heard of, the up-and-comers, the young guys and gals that are out here that have never had a car out here. That's really, really cool."
The SEMA Show is a vehicle trade event hosted annually that offers innovative builders, new and old, an opportunity to showcase their bodies of work. The next show will be in Las Vegas this year between October 31 and November 3.
