Tammy Was Love at First Sight for Jordan Peterson

Jordan met Tammy when he was seven years old. They were neighbors in a Canadian town called Fairview, located in the northern region of Alberta. Little Tammy effortlessly won the psychologist's heart over since he admits he fell in love at first sight. He shared on Instagram one of his earliest memories of Tammy:

"In grade five, I got glasses, and I was proud of it. So, I asked her what she thought about them, and I was met with this 'vicious' answer: 'You look really funny with those.' Then she ran into her house. Twenty years later, she confessed to me that she always wanted glasses, and that was her jealousy speaking."

Seven-year-old Jordan could not imagine anyone more suitable for himself. He was so engrossed in her very existence that he consulted his father about his intentions to put a ring on her finger at age 11. As it turns out, young Jordan knew exactly what he wanted for himself.

Tammy posted a picture on Instagram of herself walking down the aisle at her wedding. The reminiscent caption spoke about how long it had been since she was handed over to the boy from across the street by her father.

Tammy learned from her doctor that she had roughly ten months to live and that her death was impending.

Their wedding took place on August 19, 1989. Their inter-millennial union has capacitated the birth of two children; daughter Mikhaila Peterson, born on January 4, 1992, and son Julian Peterson, born in 1993.

The longevity of his relationship with his wife validates Jordan's relationship advice, and he selflessly drops gems about their strategies for maintaining a healthy relationship. He once delved into the need for intimacy to be prioritized and negotiated consistently, as it loses its place on the list of priorities in progressing marriages.

During a radio Interview in 2019, Tammy's husband revealed a step-by-step guide on how to deal with arguments in a relationship. His explanation was based on the vital skill of listening to his partner's complaint and objectively deciding whether it is accurate, and if it is, then he adopts the change she wants.

On another occasion, he expounded on the value of truth and the necessity for it to be "embedded in love." He profoundly explains how "truth should serve the highest good imaginable," as he believes that that is best for the individual, family, state (condition), and nature. He has also invited Mikhaila on his podcast.

Tammy Accepted the Fact That She Might Die

In July 2019, The Times UK brought to light Jordan's unusually gloomy demeanor when speaking to an interviewer. During a 3 p.m. phone call, Jordan's answer to a simple "How are you?" revealed devastating news about his wife's health. He noted that his family was overcome by the shocking state of Tammy's health.

Her videos are available for viewing or listening to on her YouTube account, which has surpassed half a million views already.

She had been to a doctor who served her a kidney cancer diagnosis, leading to two surgeries in two months. The recovery period after the second surgery was not what Tammy and her family expected, as it awoke threatening complications creating uncertainty about the continuance of her life.
