'Avatar' Star Bailey Bass Reveals Her Oscars Outfit 'Was Created in under Two Weeks'
Bailey Bass from "Avatar: The Way of Water" has arrived, and there are not many better opportunities than to announce yourself in the highest-grossing film franchise. The starlet made her first Oscars attendance in the weekend past and looked stunning in her eco-friendly dress.
"Avatar: The Way of Water" breakout star, Bailey Bass, made her first-ever Oscars appearance last Sunday, and her inaugural saunter on the red carpet is very likely one to remember. She wore a stunning gown co-designed by Zac Posen and the environmental initiative RCGD Global.
Bass looked a peach in the elegant, environmentally friendly poet-sleeved dress made of sustainable fabrics that swept the floor. The designers have admitted that the dress, which suits Bass and her beliefs, was rushed due to limited time and material.

The dress was made in under two weeks, and Bass said she was going for a timeless, sexy dress that resembled the Hollywood of old. Posen knitted together the final piece and has a history of dressing young stars. He dressed Benjamin Millepied's wife, Natalie Portman when she was younger and Rihanna at her first Diamond Ball.
The starlet took to Instagram to share pictures of her look and thanked her team for their work to finish her dress in time. "My first Oscar red carpet moment was created in under two weeks with the help of an incredibly talented team," Bass wrote in the caption.
Among the pictures in her Instagram post were photos showing how Bass was driven to the Oscars. She sat across the backseat of an SUV, presumably to avoid any creases, as she was already dressed for the event. Showing her backseat ride, Bass flaunted her open-toe Jimmy Choo heels.
Bass is widely known for her recent role as Tsireya in the sequel "Avatar: The Way of Water." The character is part of a new clan introduced into the "Avatar" franchise. Speaking about her character on "Capital XTRA Breakfast Studio," Bass said:
"She has a huge heart. She bonds with the Sully family very, very quickly, and I'm really excited for people to see how she shows the journey of the way of water throughout this new film."
During the interview on the radio station, Bass revealed that she has always wanted to be an actor. She added that she began modeling at age two and grew up in the entertainment industry.
The movie that has now broken Bass into the industry involves a new clan in an extraterrestrial world. The new family lives most of their life in the water, hence the subtitle. However, for Bass, shooting the underwater sequences started as her least favorite part of filming.
After some time, the actress admits that she "ended up excelling more than most of the cast members," a statement that she makes kindly and proudly. Bass added that she was initially nervous about the diving scenes and took credit for her tremendous growth as that aspect became her favorite part of filming.

"Avatar: The Way of Water" is now the third highest-grossing movie ever, earning over $2,200,000,000—the highest-grossing was the first edition of the film. The film was nominated in the Best Visual Effects category and clinched first place ahead of "The Batman," starring the once-divorced Zoe Kravitz.
Aside from the Visual Effects nomination, the film directed by James Cameron was nominated in the Best Picture category and selected in the design and sound categories. Fans can look forward to seeing Bass in the third edition of one of the most successful film franchises in 2024.
