Jayson Tatum temporarily shifted his focus from basketball to the food industry when he released a line of good-for-you candy for children and adults. The candy collection was a long time in the making, and the ball player revealed that the line of healthy sweets was inspired by his son.

In a recent Instagram post, Jayson posed with his son Duece, revealing that his new candy line, Small Wins, was "finally here!" In the picture, Jayson and Duece wore smiles as the basketball player leaned into his son's side.

They sat on a red table with a cloudy, blue sky as the backdrop while packets of multi-colored candy appeared to fall from the sky. "We created a better-for-you candy company, and now you can enjoy Small Wins with us. Way less sugar and no bad ingredients." he shared in the caption.

The basketball player's company, Side Step Sweets, introduced Small Wins at the Sweets & Snack Expo in 2022. And the all-natural, plant-based, vegan, and low in sugar brand of gummies come in four flavors: Sassy Strawberry, Perfect Peach, Whimsical Watermelon, and Groovy Green Apple.

With four grams of sugar and a hundred calories per serving, Small Wins was designed to be a healthy alternative to satisfy the whole family's sweet tooth.

The line of candy spent over a year in the making, with multiple formulas, test batches, taste-testing, missed shots, and plenty of real-life feedback. "Why create a better-for-you candy brand made for kids AND adults? Because kids are important, and so are the people chasing them around," the candy's website reads in part.

Jayson Tatum Has a Wholesome Reason for Founding His Candy Company

From his experience of fatherhood, Jayson knew, like his son, children liked candy, and he wanted to introduce a brand of sweets to his son that was also healthy. The father of one said:

"As a dad, I want to give my four-year-old son the world, but I also want to be mindful of the potentially harmful options out there. I helped develop Small Wins because I wanted parents, such as myself, to feel good about satisfying their child's sweet tooth."

With the help of industry experts and investors, Jayson Tatum created a candy brand made with Non-GMO, organic, and plant-based ingredients. They experimented with bold flavors, tastes, and textures until they finally found a product they were proud of.
