Born in Longview, Texas, Miranda Lambert has ruled the music arena since she released her debut album independently in early 2001. But away from the glamorous world where she's always been seen as a fierce competitor, Lambert has faced some struggles in her personal life.
The songstress confessed to struggling with her weight for years in her career, adding that she didn't always feel confident in how she looked onstage.

In an exclusive interview from January 2015, Lambert shed more light on how her journey as a musician combined glam and grit. At the time, she had lost 20 pounds by adhering to an exercise program and eating in portions and appeared to be proud.
Lambert finally found rhyme and reason when love knocked on her door again.
However, Lambert admitted that the attention her new shape garnered led to her frustration. The country singer noted that standing before a massive crowd felt great but she was just like anybody else and had her insecurities.

The "Drunk" singer feared criticism and not looking her best possible self. She said she hated how women were always made to feel insecure about their size and pressured to achieve the perfect bikini bodies, adding:
"I want women to love themselves, whatever they've got going on."
In November 2013, the American singer celebrated her milestone 30th birthday by giving herself a splendid gift—she dropped a dress size after working hard for four months. She said she worked with her trainer and didn't lose as much as people thought she did.
Lambert explained that her height makes it seem like she had shed many pounds. However, she also admitted in 2020, "I'm only 5'4", so weight shows quickly on me."
Lambert achieved her fitter figure by taking her trainer along to sneak workout sessions between tours and watching her portions.

At the time, she was married to country musician and TV personality Blake Shelton, who was on board regarding her decision to adopt a fitness regime.
The singer revealed how Shelton was proud of her efforts and loved bragging about her but assured her she looked beautiful in every size. But as time would suggest, the duo parted ways two years later and Lambert managed to pull through her painful and highly publicized divorce from Shelton in 2015.
How Did Miranda Become Healthier After Marrying N.Y.P.D. Officer?
Lambert finally found rhyme and reason when love knocked on her door again. While promoting her new music on "Good Morning America" with her band, the "Pistol Annies," in November 2018, she crossed paths with Brendan McLoughlin, an N.Y.P.D. officer.
After a whirlwind romance and solid courtship of almost three months, Lambert tied the knot with her cop boyfriend in January 2020. But unlike her relationship, marriage, and divorce with her ex Shelton, the award-winning singer chose to keep things a secret this time.
After privately marrying McLoughlin at her farm in Nashville, Tennessee, Lambert revealed the exciting news of her dream wedding on social media, leaving her fans dumbfounded.
Replying to those who wondered why she decided to keep her love life a secret, Lambert said it was a no-brainer, given how publicized her personal life had been over the years. When asked how she knew McLoughlin was "the one" for her, Lambert responded:
"I feel like I've been through enough in my life to know what I don't want, so when I know what I do want, I snatch it right up."
Lambert's mindset and outlook on life changed after she found love and happiness with McLoughlin. One year after marrying the police officer from Staten Island, the Grammy-winning singer shared her thoughts on finding love, embracing her true self, and enjoying a life full of good music and food.
"I feel most sexy when I feel happy," noted Lambert, discussing the importance of finding inner happiness and peace. She explained how spending time at her farm helped her unwind while being without makeup and playing in the dirt with her dogs in her jeans gave her joy.
Lambert revealed she had learned to feel comfortable in her size and finally found her happy place. She said she no longer felt insecure facing large crowds and had stopped worrying about her appearance.
The "Little Red Wagon" musician said she had no specific fitness regime or diet plans. There were days when she only consumed low-carb foods and instances when cheeseburgers and wine made her happy. She also does Pilates and runs when she feels like it.
The superstar vocalist, whose lean husband boasts impressive six-pack abs, mentioned how she sometimes joins him in joint workout sessions. But on the whole, Lambert admitted to feeling healthier and happier with McLoughlin without any pressures to look a certain way.
How Do Miranda & Brendan Spend Their Lives Now?
Lambert continues leading a fulfilling life with her loving spouse, who's eight years younger than her. The duo loves cooking together, and the 39-year-old songwriter often shares photos and videos from their productive time in the kitchen.
