Kevin James is known as the funny man in many beloved movies like "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Grown Ups." He has also starred in some TV series, his best known being his role in "The King of Queens."

Yet there is more to him than the jokes he exhibits on both the big and small screens. James is a devoted husband and father who dedicates his life to God and religion. James once made a massive transformation for a movie role, and fans loved it.

James showed off his bald look at 58, and fans are pleased to see him happy. Yet this is not the first time he has made an enormous transformation, resulting in him looking completely different.

For his role in the movie, "Here Comes the Boom," James lost 80 pounds to fit his character's description. He knew it would be difficult, but he did whatever it took to transform.

He asked MMA trainer, Ryan Parsons, to train him as if he was going into a real MMA fight. Parsons admired James' resolve and said it was the key to his success. Parsons mentioned that having a particular goal in mind made it more difficult to quit.

James was subjected to actual MMA fights, in which Parsons confirmed the other fighters didn't care that he was a movie star. His training paid off, and he even managed to knock someone out.

How Does James Look Now and What is His New Passion?

In February 2023, James took to Instagram to share a photo of his bald head and thick facial hair. Fans were shocked to see him bald and commented as much on the post. Some told him he had lost his hair; others said they loved the bald look.

Some fans didn't even comment on the fact that he had no hair left, with one woman saying:

"You always look so cute, Kevin."

Although James has always been known as the beloved comedian in several excellent productions, he shares a new passion with his "Grown Ups" co-star, Adam Sandler. He has not shied away from the stage, though.

His new career path was first exhibited in September 2022 when he shared a photo of himself in a stadium that would later be filled with people who had come to see him and Sandler on stage.

In late February 2023, James shared photos and videos from a music tour he and Sandler had been on. One video showed him smashing a guitar like a seasoned rock star.

While many fans were upset that he had smashed a guitar, others were happy to see him having fun. In his caption, James joked:

"Last night was SMASHING with [Adam Sandler]. I apologize. The belly makes an appearance."

He made another post in which he shared a photo carousel and referred to Sandler as the love of his life before thanking him for the two nights they spent on stage together in Nashville and Charlotte.

The carousel included photos of the pair on stage with a band as James sang into a microphone while playing guitar. There were also photos of James doing a cartwheel and triumphantly holding his guitar in front of a massive crowd.

Fans noted how talented James was and invited him to come to their cities and perform there. Others asked if there was a link to watch a video of James performing.

On April 17, 2023, James shared a video on Instagram of him and Sandler performing. The video was taken from the backstage point of view, showing the pair performing and the crowd in front of them.

While Sandler sang, James danced around the stage with a red guitar. Although he is now a rockstar, he has not lost his funnyman ways and dances around strangely, reminiscent of his dances on "Grown Ups."

James mentioned he was dancing with his buddy and loved him very much, then he thanked Sandler again. Fans took to the comments to wish James a happy birthday and say how much they loved him.

While he is well acquainted with Hollywood and everything that comes with fame, James has always retained sight of his faith. He says:

"You have a platform, and you don't want to do anything that doesn't glorify God in every way."

Although he is firm in his faith, he says he also knows that he has to remain relatable and do movies that he can sit and watch with his children. James has three daughters and a son.

How Did the Actor Meet His Wife and Start a Family?

James and his wife, Steffiana, met in 2001 after being set up on a blind date by James' interior decorator. By 2003, James had popped the question, and the couple happily began wedding planning.

June 19, 2004, was the couple's wedding day at the St Edward Catholic Church in California. They soon began their own family, with their first daughter, Sienna-Marie, arriving in 2005. Their second daughter, Shea, was born in 2007, and their son, Kannon, was born in 2011. By 2015, they had welcomed their youngest child, Sistine.

James admitted that his children inspire him in every way, including his career. He said that when they became old enough to ask him questions about the projects he was working on, he stopped accepting just any role.

James' eldest daughter is now following in his acting footsteps. She debuted in her father's movie, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," and also had roles in "Kevin Can Wait," "Pixels," and "Hubie Halloween."

Aside from acting, Sienna-Marie has taken a keen interest in kickboxing. Talking about her hobby, James shared:

"She's the tough one; she's strong. I'm not going to lie. She'll put a hurting on you."

While Sienna-Marie is into acting and kickboxing, her younger siblings have quieter interests. According to James, his younger children enjoy animation and drawing, and would rather remain behind the camera.

Shea, who was named after Shea Stadium in Queens, is one of James' children who would like to be an editor. Her younger brother, Kannon, is another deal, although his father wouldn't mind if he became a comedian.

James once joked that he had been raising his children for nothing but comedy. Kannon has inherited some of his dad's comedic timing, and James often shares funny photos of his children on social media.

When James and his wife's youngest child was born, they kept it a secret until two months after her birth. Although the family is entirely private about their lives, James sometimes shares photos on social media, like the one he posted in February 2021 from Disneyland where he joked:

"I had an amazing time holding purses and watching the stroller because I'm very afraid of so many rides! Great day! Thanks!"

James and his wife have built a beautiful family, and his career is fulfilling him, too. As his children grow up, he has the tools to help them become who they want to be. What a wonderful family!
