She added that anyone she'd give a chance in love had to be pretty extraordinary. Hathaway also revealed that her parents are her role models when it comes to love:

The jewelry designer was so smitten by Hathaway that when they got engaged, he designed the actress's engagement ring himself.

This alleged reincarnation has excited fans, who believe the two Hathaway are connected. However, before Hathaway met her dream man, who looks like Shakespeare, she went through a troubling phase in her love life.

Anne Hathaway Met Her Husband in One of the Worst Times of Her Life

Hathaway dated Italian-born Raffaello Follieri for four years. The actress told the media that when she met Follieri, it was love at first sight. "He is sooo good-looking … He looks like a God," she said.

In Hathaway's eyes, Follieri was also a successful man. At 25, he started his company, the Follieri Group, whose objective was to help the Catholic Church sell its real estate properties amidst the financial fallout from the child sex-abuse scandal.

Follieri used deceptive measures to gain investors' money for his company. He then used these investors' money to fund his lavish lifestyle. However, this was not the only scandal Follieri was caught up in.

Follieri, who ran the Follieri Foundation, was caught up in another scandal when the New York State's Attorney General's office started investigating his charity, which funded vaccination programs in developing countries.

"The Devil Wears Prada" star had once served as the director of the charity's board before she left the position. This previous responsibility made many people link her to Follieri's scandal. Hathaway was bombarded by questions relating to the foundation, but her representative commented on her behalf:

"Since she is no longer associated with the foundation, why would you expect her to be familiar with all of this."
