Woman Learns Her Stepmother Secretly Put Her Baby up for Adoption after Stranger Approaches Her in Supermarket

The woman, Deseree Rose, who was weeks away from giving birth, explained how her stepmother orchestrated a major betrayal when she attempted to put her unborn baby in a secret adoption arrangement.

According to Deseree, she was in the supermarket when a stranger approached her and introduced herself as her baby's grandmother.

Deseree had no idea who the woman was or how she was related to her baby. However, upon inquiry, Deseree was shocked to discover her stepmother had put her unborn baby in a secret adoption without her knowledge or consent.

In the TikTok video, which has over 12 million views, Deseree said she had no intention of placing her child for adoption and was shocked when the woman, who introduced herself as Wendy, walked towards her in the supermarket and said, "That is my grandbaby in your belly!"

Deseree asked Wendy if she was related to her boyfriend, John, her baby's father. However, Wendy said she was Scott's mother, and Deseree had no idea who Scott was. "You know, Scott and Jerry, the couple that is adopting your baby?" Wendy explained.

Deseree was shocked, and she told Scott's mother that she must have mistaken her for someone else because her baby, a girl, was not up for adoption.

It turned out Wendy was not mistaken as Linda, her hairdresser, who is also Deseree's stepmother, had told the woman that Deseree was giving her baby up for adoption.

When Wendy gave Deseree this information, the woman who was nine months pregnant told her, "I think you have been lied to; this baby is not up for adoption, nor has she ever been." Then Deseree went to confront her stepmother.

Deseree's Stepmother Said Her Lies Were Not a Big Deal

Deseree posted a follow-up video on TikTok where she informed online users that her stepmother had actually told Wendy that her son and his partner would be adopting her baby:

"I had no idea about any of this, never once did I tell her I wanted to give the baby up for adoption, in fact, I told her I didn't want to give the baby up for adoption."

Deseree also said her stepmother was very controlling and that she doesn't talk to her anymore. She revealed to people that her stepmother only told her to "get over it already, it's not that big of a deal" whenever she brought the matter up.

According to Deseree, her stepmother and her father are narcissists, and when she was pregnant, she was in a toxic relationship with them. She disclosed:

"I was in an abusive relationship with my parents, they are very narcissistic and I knew what she did was wrong but I didn't know just how wrong it was and when I would talk to her about it, she would just blow me off."

She added that her stepmother did not think she did anything wrong by deceiving people that they would adopt her baby or by going behind her back and putting her baby up for a secret adoption.

Linda also told Deseree that Wendy was crazy and claimed she only talked to her about the adoption a few times. Linda accused Wendy of going crazy with the adoption idea.

Meanwhile, Deseree did not get any sympathy from her father. In fact, he supported his wife and didn't consider the severity of her actions. Deseree said her father was also verbally and mentally abusive, and that's why she no longer has a relationship with him.

Deseree also posted a picture with her husband, whom she called her soulmate and best friend.

But the story doesn't end there. According to Deseree, after her daughter was born, Wendy approached her again and shouted, "Oh my God, that's my grandbaby, that's my grandbaby!"

Deseree was with her daughter and her stepmother then, and in a twist of events, her stepmother told off Wendy, saying, "No, I am the grandmother, Me!"

However, as of now, Deseree is no longer in touch with her stepmother and her father, who she said were abusive and narcissistic.

According to Ali, she had no idea her sister had planned for her baby to be adopted. She added that security had to remove her sister from the hospital and the lady who was to become her daughter's adopted mom. Ali said the lady cried:

Brianna Wright also related with Chelsea as her grandmother wanted her to give her firstborn child to her aunt and uncle. Brianna's grandmother also attempted to give her third child to her sister when the baby was in NICU.

According to Brianna, her grandmother made these attempts at a secret adoption because she claimed she wasn't a good mother and because she didn't follow the Mormon faith.

Meanwhile, Haley Kwiatkowski commented that her stepmother attempted to give away her aunt's baby while Jennifer Eggers revealed her daycare provider had attempted to give up her fourth son for adoption without her permission:

"I raised 3, why would I give up #4?!? The couple had even bought plane tickets from CA to OK to meet me!"

Ali explained that it was easy for people to attempt secret adoptions without permission in the past because there weren't really any laws governing the procedure.

Deseree has moved on with her life, and she is thriving with her husband. Her daughter is now grown, and she said that her baby girl is now her own person.

"…this year all she wanted to be was her spirit animal, which is a mystical wolf creature, which is all black with purple eye lol! So we made it happen! I love my little clones so much!"

Deseree also posted a picture with her husband, whom she called her soulmate and best friend. She revealed that she was single for seven years before she met him. Deseree added that people accused her of being too picky:

"…but I knew what I wanted. I wanted my partner to be my best friend, and that's exactly what I found."

Deseree and her husband are raising two children together, and she constantly shares pictures and videos of them having fun as a family. According to Deseree, their life is an amazing adventure.
