‘All That’s Amanda Bynes Dyed Hair & Got Face Tattoo Years after Show, Now Lives ‘Sad, Isolated Life,' Report Claims
- "All That" and "What a Girl Wants" star Amanda Bynes had a complicated life after quitting acting and disappearing from Hollywood.
- The child star changed her appearance considerably and was placed in a conservatorship.
- She has gone through a lot of hardships lately and is reportedly living an "isolated" life.
Amanda Bynes started her acting career at age 13, starring in the comedy "All That," which ran from 1996 until 2000. Then she appeared in the show's spin-off series, "The Amanda Show," and gained popularity for her roles in several successful movies.
In 2003, the actress featured in "What a Girl Wants" and three years later in "She's The Man." She starred in the musical film "Hairspray" in 2007, and in 2010, she was hilarious in "Easy A."

Bynes has since led a complicated life after disappearing from Hollywood. In 2010, the actress shocked many when she took to Twitter, claiming she didn't love acting anymore and stopped doing it.
She was then accused of multiple hit-and-runs and, in 2012, was arrested for driving under the influence. In 2013, she ran into legal issues, sent bizarre tweets, and had questionable public appearances.

She had a public breakdown that year, where she set a neighbor's driveway on fire, and she ended up on psychiatric hold. In August, she was placed under a temporary conservatorship after suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues.
The following year, Lynn Bynes, her mother, was named conservator over anything to do with her personal matters and health care.

In November 2018, the actress revealed she felt purposeless, and that's why she retired from acting. After working throughout her life, she now had time to wake up and use illegal substances all day. Bynes admitted her world became sad and dark as she got into substance abuse.
In January 2019, the celebrity allegedly went into rehabilitation after feeling pressured to return to the spotlight due to the previous year's interview. Nine months later, she checked herself out and introduced her boyfriend Paul Michael the following month.

The star revealed that she and her boyfriend had been sober for over a year and shared how happy she was. The actress said she felt she'd gotten what was hers in the form of Michael.
During 2020's Valentine's Day, Bynes shared a photo of her engagement ring and revealed she was engaged to Michael, whom she described as "tha (sic) love of my life." Hours later, she shared a selfie with her fiancé.

However, as her conservator, her mother was the only one who could decide if Bynes could get married. A source alleged that the former Nickelodeon star's parents weren't surprised by her engagement because nothing she did caught them off guard anymore.
In February 2022, Bynes petitioned for the end of her conservatorship, saying she was mentally fit to take care of herself. The actress even posted about her petition on her Instagram account and thanked those who supported her.
Her mother filed a declaration supporting her decision, with a source claiming the former child star was doing well mentally and physically. The insider said Bynes' parents were happy for her as they'd prayed and believed she would get better. Even her partner was supportive and by her side through it all. On March 22, 2022, a judge finally terminated her conservatorship.

How Does Amanda Look Now?
Since leaving Hollywood, the actress has gone through some physical changes. In 2022, Bynes was seen sporting black hair. The star shared an Instagram video where she revealed that the heart-shaped tattoo on her face, which she'd gotten in December 2019, had faded.
The celebrity revealed she finally decided to have it removed. However, the actress wasn't done with tattoos yet. On March 29, 2022, she was seen with new tattoos for the first time after her conservatorship was concluded.
The "Big Fat Liar" actress had Michael's name tattooed on her wrist, and she also had a red rose with the derogatory word for penis done on her bicep. Besides the three new pieces, Bynes boasted another one on her leg that read, "See you on the other side."
With her conservatorship removed, Bynes still had some struggles that had people worried. The fiancé she once had and whose name she'd embellished on her body is no longer a part of her life anymore.
Why Does Amanda Live an "Isolated" Life Now?
On March 19, 2023, Bynes' woes continued when she was taken to a Southern Californian psychiatric treatment facility. According to reports, she stopped a passing car and confessed to the driver that she was "coming down from a psychotic episode."
At the time, she was wandering naked and alone in the streets near downtown Los Angeles. The star then called 911 and was taken to a police station, where she was placed on a psychiatric hold.

Bynes allegedly spent over three weeks under a psychiatric hold before being released on April 10, 2023. The celebrity was set to go for outpatient treatment but would continue living by herself, and her parents were reportedly not planning to put her under another conservatorship.
Her admission came after she had to withdraw from the "All That" reunion due to an "unknown illness." In early April, she was meant to attend the 90s Con but canceled at the last minute. The event would have been her first public appearance since the end of her conservatorship.
To add salt to the wound, reports said Bynes broke up with Michael two weeks before suffering her mental health crisis. Her fiancé said they'd argued before she was admitted to the facility.
On May 23, 2023, the actress was described as "often feeling sad and isolated" by a source who said she was now living alone. She'd stopped focusing on being a nail technician and fashion designer, which she was passionate about.
The insider said the star lost interest quickly, but there was hope she'd pick up her interests again because she was attending her treatments, taking her medication, and seeing therapists. People around her didn't want a reunion with Michael because they felt he was "toxic" for her recovery.
Bynes allegedly didn't have that many close friends because she was isolated from them but had support from family. The celebrity reportedly communicated with her siblings and parents and sometimes saw the latter.
