Who Is The World's Smallest Woman?

Jyoti Amge was born in India on December 16, 1993. Her mom, Ranjana, revealed that when she was born, she was relatively normal-sized and didn't exhibit any signs of dwarfism.

However, she weighed less than three pounds at birth, and doctors believed she wouldn't make it. She beat all odds and began developing like a normal baby.

It was when Amge turned five that she stopped growing. Despite this, she lived a normal life and went to school alongside other kids her age.

Growing up, Amge never saw her height as an obstacle. Her family is very supportive of her, and they'd often carry her so she could see the world through their eyes.

However, others haven't always been as supportive, and her peers bullied her. She eventually paid no attention to them and focused on her life's positive aspects.

Doctors believe the reason for her stunted growth was a deficiency in growth hormones. It was later determined that she had achondroplasia, also known as dwarfism, that stopped her from growing taller than a particular height.

Amge inspires many who'd like to achieve their dreams, no matter how far-fetched they seem. She is a Hollywood actress, having starred in "Big Boss," "American Horror Story," "CAVE iN," and "Extraordinary People."

Amge holds the Guinness World Record for being the shortest female living. She's retained her record for over a decade and achieved a second feat as the world's shortest actress.

What Life Does the World's Tallest Man Live?

Sultan Kosen was born on December 10, 1982, in Turkey. Like Amge, he grew up normally among his peers before a sudden growth spurt at 10.

The rest of Kosen's family are average-sized. His incredible height is attributed to pituitary gigantism, caused by an over-production of the growth hormone.

Kosen's height hindered him from finishing school. Instead, he works as a farmer to support his family.

There are many pros to being as tall as he is—he's glad he can quickly help his family around the house, especially when he needs to reach for things other family members can't get on their own.

However, being 8'2" has its disadvantages. Kosen can't fit in most regular-sized cars. He also has difficulty finding clothes and shoes that fit him.

Growing up, Kosen wanted to play basketball. He was determined too tall to play, but he remains a fan of the sport.

Kosen had always dreamt of getting married and hoped fame would lead him to the right woman.

The world's tallest man underwent free life-saving surgery to stop his growth. He also received tailored clothes that fit him well and has traveled the world many times.
