The private "Special Ops: Lioness" star, Austin Hébert, has kept much of his personal life out of the public arena, with no wife or partner on his arm at premiers. The dog dad is, however, always surrounded by love with his dog and family.

Austin Hébert has joked that because of his face, he gets offered a lot of genre pieces such as "Burden" and "Bonnie & Clyde." He often portrays law enforcement and military personnel, although he admits he enjoys being the villain.

While it does not look like the soft-spoken Texan has a family of his own, he is family-orientated, posting updates about his sister and nephew. He is also very devoted to his animals, bidding a long-time pet farewell a few years ago.

Does Austin Hébert Have a Wife or Other Romantic Relationship?

Hébert grew up in Texas as a jock, but he was seduced by the theater when a girl told him she would go out with him if he joined a play. While he cannot recall if they had a date other than spending time on the show, it was the first spark that got him into acting.

"This lady, long time friends," he captioned a photo on July 21, 2014, with an unnamed blond woman who looked to have just gone for a dip. This is one of the few women featured on his Instagram grid, mostly of his projects and pets.

He also has a soft spot for family, particularly his sister Jenna Gimmler and his nephew. He shared a photo of her holding her son, born two years prior, in 2018, "An incredible mother, an amazing wife, a loving, teaching and fellow goof of a sister..."

Austin Hébert Has a Pit Bull Fur Baby

The actor wrote a eulogy for his Dalmatian, Lonestar, on July 16, 2016, who was with him for 13 years, "You were a great gift for me.. And a wonderful companion... but the truth is, is that you touched many other people as well..."

The Sin City Horror Fest named him the Best Killer in a Feature.

He adopted a white pit bull with black spots months later named Harlan. The pet is seen running on set toward the star in a 2016 video. "HI!! My name is Harlan! " he wrote in a satirical post. "I'm teething right now, and it just so happens I'm crotch high! Oops!"

Austin Hébert's Acting Process

Hébert remembers seeing "Gladiator" starring Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix at the peak of their talents. Yet, he watched the audience more, seeing how the material affected them. "That's kinda what I want to do," he thought.

He likes to do as much "intellectual research" as possible in preparing for roles. Getting ready for his performance in "Bonnie & Clyde," as the youngest officer Ted Hinton, he met the late officer's son by chance.

He got incredible insight when he got to sit down with Boots Hinton, the caretaker of a Bonnie and Clyde museum in Louisiana, and spoke for around two hours. "The best part of my job is meeting people like that," he once remarked.

The Texan admits that if he had to choose between a cop and a robber in the childhood game, he would be the former, as he enjoys playing a villain, as they're interesting people. The Sin City Horror Fest named him the Best Killer in a Feature in 2022 for his dark turn in "Shot in the Dark."
