Madison Beer's Parents Tracie & Robert Beer Stayed Friends after Divorcing
Madison Beer's parents were an example for the singer and her younger brother of what a modern family could look like. Madison sees her mother and father's personalities in her.
Tracie Beer and Robert Beer got a divorce when their eldest, Madison Beer, was seven years old. They remained on good terms as they co-parented their two children.
When Madison was discovered as a tween, she relocated to Los Angeles with her mom and brother. At 18, the "Good In Goodbye" pop star remained in the City of Angels when her family moved back to the East Coast.
Madison Beer's Parents Co-Parented the Singer and Her Brother
In January 2020, Tracie shared a photo with her two children and ex-husband having a meal. She wrote that she is grateful that she and Robert were able to co-parent and show their "children there can be peace and love after divorce."
The co-parents' son, Ryder Beer, graduated from high school in mid-2020 and took a spot at Berklee College of Music. Addressing her parents' split, Madison tweeted in 2016, "It'll get easier, and you'd rather them be happy and apart, then together and sad."
She draws the dual sides of her personality from her parents. Her mother is "introverted, at home, in bed, chilling, doesn't really like people," he dad is sociable and likes to go out. On Friday nights, the singer is either in bed by 9 p.m. or out "raging" with friends.
Tracie Beer Is an Inventor
The mom of two founded the New York interior design firm Tracie Beer Design in January 1993. The company remains an ongoing concern, its Instagram account remains current as she splits her time managing her son and co-managing her daughter.
He got into construction through his family-founded business.
The interior designer invented the Contour Hanger in the late 2000s after her frustration with how a halter-style top hung in her closet. She bent a dry cleaner hanger into a shape that "fills the body" of the shirt, keeping the garment from bundling in the middle of the hanger.
The New Yorker reposted a video of Madison Beer doing an Etta James cover in early 2016, seen by a friend of Scooter Braun, who was managing Justin Bieber then. Through this chain, Justin came to see the video, tweeted it, and signed Madison soon after.
"I live by example, and my kids saw that behavior growing up," Tracie posted in June 2020. "Hatred and discrimination is a learned behavior and a cycle that needs to be broken." She added:
"Making a difference in the world for the better of future generations starts in the home."
Robert Beeris Very Proud of His Children
In his private Instagram bio, Robert writes that he is a luxury home builder and a "Proud father to Madison and Ryder Beer." He got into construction through his family-founded business, Birchwood Development.
Following Birchwood's sale to the publicly traded company Kimco in 2007, he launched Built By Beer. The new undertaking builds new homes and does commercial renovations on Long Island's East End and Gold Coast.
