Cheating Husband Doesn’t Expect an Ordinary Box of Pizza Would Expose Him – Story of the Day
Adrian and his mistress were enjoying an intimate evening when his wife unexpectedly returned home from a business trip. While Adrian manages to get away with it, a peculiar detail in an ordinary box of pizza unveils his deceit and makes him regret it big time.
The city lights shimmered outside the apartment window as Adrian stood by the door, his gaze fixed on the suitcase Claire was meticulously packing.
The room echoed with the sound of her suitcase locks clicking into place, and a bittersweet air lingered between them...

"Business trips again!" Adrian mused a mixture of longing and disappointment tinged in his voice.
Claire turned, a half-smile playing on her lips as she zipped up the suitcase and assembled them at the door.
"Oh, baby, you know how it is, right?" She wrapped her arms around Adrian and looked him in the eye. "The meetings...deadlines...these trips...they're all part of the job."

"But do you have to go, Sweet Pea? You're the heart and soul of your own fashion emporium. Do you have to go on this trip? I can't help but feel your absence every time you step out the door."
Adrian enveloped Claire in a warm embrace, the look in his eyes resembling that of a silent plea for the time to stand still. His gaze made Claire's heart melt as she leaned and planted a kiss on his lips.
"Awww, baby! I'll miss you too. But it won't be long, I promise!" she reassured Adrian, her fingers running in circles on his back. "Jeez, I'm running late for my flight. Be back soon, okay?"

As Claire pulled away, Adrian cupped her face in his hands and kissed her again. "Take care, okay sweetie pie? I'll be waiting for you."
Claire's cheeks bloomed with a delicate blush of peach and crimson as Adrian unwillingly let her go and watched her grab her suitcase.
"I'll call you every day, babe. And who knows! Maybe I'll bring back a surprise!" she teased as Adrian smiled, leading his wife to the elevator.
"I'll be waiting for your call. Don't forget to call me once you reach, okay? These seven days without you are gonna be hell for me...come back soon. Love you...more than you know!"

With a final embrace, Claire gathered her belongings in the elevator and smiled at Adrian as he stood on the other side.
After Claire descended and boarded the taxi, she looked up at her apartment before the cab sped away into the bustling street.
Claire pulled out her phone to see if Adrian had left her any messages. But there were none.
Sighing a deep breath, Claire got down at the airport and approached the check-in.

Meanwhile, back in the apartment...
Adrian anxiously walked back and forth in the living room, gazing at his phone. He glanced out of the window just in time to catch a glimpse of a passing plane streaking across the evening sky.
A sense of reassurance settled over Adrian. "Finally, she's gone!" he declared before swiping down his phone contacts and calling someone.
"She's gone, babe! Now's the perfect time to celebrate! Come over, sweetheart!" Adrian told his mistress while spraying his favorite cologne all over him.

"Oh, that's great news! On my way, darling! I'll bring your favorite flowers—those fragrant roses you always say turn you on! Can't wait to see the effect they have on you!"
"Ah, I think I'm already high now, babe! I can't wait to see you. I'll be waiting for you. Hurry up...tonight's our night!"
"I'll be there in a heartbeat, babe. Get ready for a night to remember!" Adrian's mistress said before kissing into the phone and hanging up.
Around 20 minutes later, she arrived outside Adrian's apartment and rang the doorbell before adjusting her golden tresses and applying another coat of her favorite ruby red lipstick.

"Vanessa, you're finally here, my love!" Adrian chirped as he welcomed his mistress home. "I've been counting the minutes."
"Patience is rewarding, darling!" Vanessa smirked as she entered the bedroom and glanced around.
"Come here, you gorgeous lady. I've missed you like crazy. Can't wait to..." Adrian grinned as he pulled Vanessa into a tight hug.
They kissed passionately as Vanessa handed Adrian his favorite flowers. "Ah, that fragrance! You know how to set my mood right, babe!"

Vanessa then picked up Claire's expensive perfume from the dresser and sprayed it at her pulse points. "You always love the way my kisses taste after I wear her perfume...and this Raspberry lip gloss, don't you, darling?"
"Ah, there's something about that scent that drives me wild when you wear it, babe. Come, let's not waste any time."
"Let me slip into something more comfortable. How about your wife's silky nightdress...the one you always admired me wearing!"
As Adrian and Vanessa got ready to indulge in a passionate night in the bedroom, the doorbell suddenly buzzed, leaving them both, especially Vanessa, frustrated.

"Damn, who could that be now? Babe, can you please go look? I don't think I can answer that door like this," Vanessa frowned, wrapping herself with the bedsheet.
"I got it, love. I think it's the pizza I ordered. I should've told him to come in a little late!" Adrian said as he hurriedly dressed up and approached the door.
Adrian casually swung the door open, expecting nothing more than the pizza delivery guy on the other side. His eyes bulged in disbelief, and his jaws dropped at seeing his wife, Claire, standing outside instead.
"Hey, honey!" Claire smiled.

A cold shiver coursed through Adrian.
"Cla-Claire, y-you're back?? I thought you left for...for the trip to Hong Kong."
Claire was frustrated. "My damn flight was canceled due to bad weather. Can you imagine, Addy? Now I'll have to wait for a week until they can reschedule my flight."
"Y-your flight got canceled?" Adrian exclaimed in shock. Although he tried to get in Claire's way and stop her from entering the apartment, she was too quick.

"I waited for two hours. And then, they announced that all flights to Hong Kong would be canceled. I have a flight in three days...but my client told me he wasn't free. So I'm rescheduling for Saturday. I was anticipating this meeting like anything. I'm so disappointed!"
"Me too!" Adrian frowned.
"Why didn't you call me? I mean...I could've come to pick you up from the airport."
"Ah, never mind. I decided to visit the bookshop on the way. My phone battery is dead...sorry I couldn't call. Anyways, now I'm home, let's just...."

Before Claire could notice, Adrian quickly grabbed and pocketed Vanessa's lingerie from the lampshade and hurried after his wife to stop her before she entered the bedroom.
"Babe, babe, babe...where are you going?" he stopped Claire and sheepishly smiled.
"Addy, what are you doing? I want to use the bathroom."
"Claire, sweetie, I missed you so much, you know?" Adrian hugged Claire. Although she reciprocated his embrace, Claire knew something didn't feel right about her husband's behavior.

"Addy, you're being weird! It's just been three hours. And it's not the first time I left for such a business trip abroad!"
"I know...I know, babe..." Adrian started making excuses. "Three hours without you felt like an eternity for me!"
"Ugh, I get it...I get it!" Claire squeezed Adrian's shoulders while staring intensely into his eyes before teasing him. "I was expecting your texts, but you didn't send me any."

"Oh, that! I left my phone in the charger and completely forgot about it," Adrian said. "I thought I'd video call you later...you know...once you reach."
"Ummm, anyways, now that I'm home, let's plan dinner. But before that, I need to use the restroom," Claire said, only to crane her neck in shock.
"I heard something. Who's in there?" she pointed at the bedroom.
A chill ran down Adrian's spine, and he knew he had to come up with something quick before his wife found out who was hiding in their bedroom.

"What...where? There's no one there. Must be the windows...I, er...left them open."
But Claire was not in the spot to just stand there and listen. So she sidled past her husband and approached the bedroom to look.
"Claire, honey, stop...there's no one in the bedroom. Don't you trust me? Wait..."
Before Adrian could stop her, Claire barged into the bedroom and stood still. "Oh, there's no one here! I thought I heard something...like someone coughing. I felt you had someone here."

"No! What are you even talking about?" Adrian arched his brows while trying not to look around. "What's wrong with you, Claire? It's the windows…see? I didn't close them properly."
"I'm sorry, Addy. Listen, we've been so distant lately. With these frequent business trips and work...I'm so worried that we're growing apart from each other despite living under the same roof."
"What are you even talking about, sweetheart?" Adrian squeezed Claire's hands. "I love you...more than you know. There's nothing to be worried about, okay?"
"I guess you're right. I think I'm just overworked...and...I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. I understand. You're just tired, and you need good rest. How about you take a shower or soak in the bathtub? You deserve some pampering."
Just as Claire tried to process everything, Adrian forced her into the bathroom. "Everything's gonna be fine. Just relax, okay?"
But Claire stopped in her tracks when the familiar scent of her perfume caught her off guard.
"Addy, did you use my perfume?"

That's when Claire looked around and noticed the bouquet of red roses in the vase on the bedside table. She remembered not seeing it when she left the house earlier.
"And these flowers? They were not there when I left?"
"Oh, that?" Adrian pursed his lips, his mind racing for a quick lie. "I started missing you so much and was standing by the window when I noticed a florist selling these flowers on the street. So I dashed down to buy them...and to tip the poor guy a bit, you know…I'm always generous!"
"Oh, that's so sweet of you, Addy!" Claire smiled.

"And the perfume, honey, I'm so sorry. I just wanted to smell it and accidentally sprayed a bit in the room. I opened the windows to get rid of the smell…but guess I'm caught!"
Seemingly convinced Adrian was telling the truth, Claire turned around and headed inside the bathroom. "Be back in 20 minutes, alright?" she smiled.
"Sure, I'll be waiting for you, babe! Take your time!"
Just as Claire closed the door and got ready to take the shower, Adrian quietly stepped back and looked around the room for Vanessa.

He approached the closet, thinking she would be hiding in there. "Hey...you in there? Come out...before she comes out of the bathroom...hurry up. We don't have time." he whispered.
"Psst, hey, I'm down here," Vanessa whispered from under the bed. "You idiot...you told me she wouldn't be home. Come here and help me."
"Gosh, I'm so sorry. It seems her flight was canceled at the last minute. I'm so freaked out. Please, leave before she comes out," Adrian said.
"And you know what? You're not just gorgeous but also smart. I was so scared we'd get caught. Hurry up...leave...I'll call you once everything's sorted, okay?"

While Claire naively showered in the bathroom, Adrian helped his mistress sneak out of the bedroom and hurried her to the door while she was still wearing Claire's night dress.
"Hey, put this on..." he wrapped his jacket around her. "Take your clothes. Change into them at some gas station...hurry up. Before she comes out..."
Just as Vanessa and Adrian quietly bolted to the door and opened it, a pizza delivery guy stood at the doorway, his identity concealed under a helmet. He suddenly started shouting out loud and apologizing for the delay.

"Your pizza, Sir! I'm so sorry for the delay. Traffic's been crazy this evening!"
"Hey, quiet. Stop shouting," Adrian hushed the guy. Vanessa squeezed her way out of the apartment, leaving Adrian behind to deal with the pizza he had ordered for her.
"Listen, I want to cancel the order. Please go away. Go, now!" Adrian whispered to the guy.
"Sir, please, don't cancel your order. I'm so sorry for the delay. Please, take your pizza."
"I said go...leave," Adrian said.

"But Sir, pizza was ordered for your address. You can't cancel it without contacting the restaurant. You have to take it...who's gonna pay for it?"
"I'll pay for it. Just take the money...and the pizza, and just leave. Go!" Adrian hastily put a wad of cash on the pizza box and instructed the delivery guy to leave.
"But, Sir, I can't take the pizza. It's your order..."
Adrian lost his cool and yelled at the delivery guy. "You idiot, I told you to take it away. Eat it...give it to some homeless person...or throw it away. Just out of here..."

"Hey, what's going on? You ordered food?" Claire's voice sent chills down Adrian's spine when he turned around and saw her standing right behind him.
Adrian stared daggers at the pizza delivery man. "THANK YOU! Have a nice day!" He said before slamming the door shut in the guy's face.
"You never told me you'd be ordering dinner?" Claire said as she blow-dried her hair.

Adrian burst into a sheepish chuckle as he held the pizza box in his hand. "Uh, yeah! I was hungry and thought maybe we could order something nice instead of cooking. Moreover, the fridge is empty...so..."
"Uhm, great! So what have you ordered?" Claire looked, only to furrow her brows in disbelief.
"Pizza?!"
"Yeah!" Adrian said as he unboxed the pizza.

"That's weird. You've never ordered pizza before," Claire suspiciously stared at Adrian as she glanced at the piping hot pizza in the box.
"Oh, God, Claire! You're demanding an explanation for every damn thing I do!" Adrian suddenly blurted out. "I told you I love you...and that means I also love everything you love, okay?"
"Okay?!" Claire rolled her eyes and smiled.
"Yeah, so I thought you would enjoy a pizza today. Remember you used to love them when we dated?"

"Hmmm, well, it does look delicious," Claire said as she picked up a slice of pizza and had a bite, only to cough and rush to the sink.
"What on earth is in this pizza? Did you order it extra spicy? God, Addy, you know I'm intolerant to spicy food. How could you order something so spicy like this?" Claire coughed and spat the pizza down the sink.
"Well, you always said you liked a bit of heat. So I thought maybe we could try the Tabasco pizza tonight."
"A bit of heat? This is like a volcano in my mouth! Why would you do this?"

"I'm sorry, Claire," Adrian feigned an apology, unable to think of anything quick. "I thought you'd enjoy a little kick. You know, a spicy surprise! Let's order something else for dinner."
"Surprise? More like a spicy shock. Yeah, order something else. Or how about we go to the restaurant and dine? I'm starving."
"It's already late, honey. I'll order something else, okay?" Adrian said. "And sorry about the pizza, sweet pea."

"No apologies accepted until you have a bite of that thing!" Claire teased Adrian as he took a slice and munched on it. It was so spicy and made his tongue tingle with heat.
"I've never seen you eating spicy food. Do you really like that Tabasco pizza?" Claire asked.
Adrian knew he had to play along and avoid getting caught. So he took another bite of the pizza and pretended he really liked it.
"You know, my preferences change like the seasons! It's not so bad, after all...just a bit overboard with the spice!"

"Uhm, I guess you really like this pizza then!" Claire said, smiling as she watched Adrian chomping the pizza.
But only he knew how hard it was for him to swallow the spicy Tabasco pizza while trying to pretend he was actually enjoying it.
"Enjoy your pizza. Bon appétit! I'll change and be ready...don't forget to order dinner, okay?" Claire said and rushed to the bedroom.
As soon as she left, Adrian bolted to the sink and emptied the pizza down before gulping cold water.

The couple had dinner and retired to their bedroom.
The rest of the night passed with Adrian trying to avoid Claire's questions and eye contact. Although she wanted to talk to him and clarify certain things, he refrained from doing so, saying Claire needed to rest.
"Alright, goodnight, honey," Claire kissed Adrian on the forehead and went back to sleep. However, deep down, she thought something was really off with him.
Moreover, the growing distance between them started gnawing at Claire.

The next day...
Claire sat across from her best friend at a restaurant where they usually hung out.
"You look worried. Is everything alright?" her friend asked Claire, who was venting all her frustrations about Adrian's strange behavior.
"It's like standing on pins and needles. I really don't understand what he's up to...but he always has some reasons to convince me," Claire said.

"Claire, babe, I think you're just overthinking. Maybe he's just trying to cope with your absence. You know...maybe he's finding it really hard when you're gone on those prolonged business trips...maybe he misses you."
"I don't know what to think right now," Claire continued. "Adrian's behaving so strangely when I'm on business trips. He doesn't call...or text like he usually does...which is getting me worried. I hope nothing's gone wrong between us."
"Hey, hey, babe, you're just working yourself into a knot!" Claire's friend said. "You know, men need time. They're different when it comes to dealing with emotions. I think you just got it all wrong about your husband, darling."
For illustration purposes only | Source: Facebook / AmoMama
"No, it's not that. I think there's something that's bothering him. I mean...he has ready-made explanations for everything I ask him. It's like he is way prepared with answers to all my questions…
…It feels so strange, don't you think...when a man does things for you, claiming he's doing them for you, but it doesn't seem so? I mean...I still feel I'm missing out on something in the bigger picture."
"Babe, I've known you since high school, okay? I can see you're exhausted after work. I think you need a break from these business trips. Just relax...everything's going to be fine. Don't let these silly things get into your head, okay?"

Those words stung Claire with a sense of hope and reassurance. "Thank you, Van. What would I have done without you? I'm so lucky to have a friend like you!"
"It's okay, honey! What are friends for?!"
Poor Claire! Little did she guess that her best friend—Vanessa—sitting across from her, was her husband's mistress.
Claire and Vanessa were thick friends from high school and knew each other's strengths and weaknesses more than anybody else.
However, beneath this friendship's surface, Vanessa began harboring feelings for Claire's husband. And to her surprise, Adrian reciprocated her feelings as they went on to harbor an extramarital affair for over a year behind Claire's back.

"I think I know how to get you out of this stress," Vanessa broke Claire's silence. "How about you go on a solo vacation to Hawaii...or the Maldives? Maybe indulge in some delicious seafood...enjoy breathtaking sunsets...and come back with a fresh mind? What do you think?"
"Yeah, I think it's a great idea. Maybe I can take Adrian along...and we can get to know each other even more, yeah?"
Vanessa's excitement faded when she heard Claire say that, although she feigned a smile. All she wanted was to spend as much quality time as she could with Adrian, and she could not afford to send him away with Claire.

"Claire, seriously, you should consider going alone. Solo vacations help heal the mind!" Vanessa cunningly smiled.
"It's a chance for you to relax and rejuvenate without any distractions. Taking Adrian along might not give you the peace you need. Just think about it. Okay, let's get us a good meal. I'm starving. Waiter?"
Just as Claire grabbed her cup of latte, Vanessa started ordering the food. "We'll have a large pizza, please. I want it extra spicy. With Caesar salad...and soda. Do you want spicy pizza, Claire?"
"No, I don't like spicy food," Claire dismissed, only to sit back frozen when she heard Vanessa complete the order with a half regular pizza and the other half with double Tabasco.

"I just love extra spicy Tabasco pizza!" Vanessa chuckled. But Claire wasn't as excited.
"You love Tabasco pizza??"
"Yeah! What's wrong? Why aren't you eating anything?" Vanessa glanced at Claire as soon as the order arrived.
"Uh, nothing. I was just thinking about..."
"About what?"
"Nothing. It's just work," Claire lied while connecting the dots in her head.

Adrian's strange behavior, the messy bedroom, the spicy pizza, and now — seeing Vanessa enjoying the same Tabasco pizza and her hesitance about Adrian joining Claire on the trip — all fueled Claire's suspicions.
So she quietly ate her meal and excused herself, pretending she was not well and had an urgent work call to attend to.
On the drive home, Claire called Adrian, but his line was engaged. Exhaling a deep breath and hoping for her suspicions not to be true, Claire immediately called Vanessa. To her shock, even her line was busy.

"Honey, who were you talking to for so long? I tried calling you so many times," Claire approached Adrian as soon as she reached home.
"No one...was just talking to a friend," he lied, almost immediately drawn to the suitcase Claire was holding.
"You going somewhere? Again?"

"Addy, yeah, I just got a call from another client. So I'm leaving for Cairo on the next flight. Was a last-minute work call, and I couldn't refuse to meet this VIP. Our upcoming line of garments is tied to her renowned fashion shows...so I can't afford to miss this deal!"
"You just returned home last evening from a canceled trip, Claire. And you're leaving me the very next day on another damn trip?" Adrian lashed out.
"Look, this is really important, okay?" Claire snapped back. "Besides, it's going to change our lives. I was planning for a really long time to set up this new outlet in Chicago. If everything goes fine, we could buy a new house..."
For illustration purposes only | Source: Facebook / AmoMama
"A new house? For what joy? And what's the use? Isn't there anything called 'family' back here?"
Claire turned around, completely dazed and startled. "Addy, what do you mean?"
"What I mean is, Claire, you're hardly ever home. I don't see a goddamn point in us living together in this house when most of the time, you're always flying around on some goddamn business trip while I have to sit home, waiting for you..."
For illustration purposes only | Source: YouTube / DramatizeMe
"Addy, but I thought we were in this together. Look, I'm doing this for us, and you know that."
"Oh, so you mean all I do at home is nothing? Because I don't have a job right now?"
"Oh, God, where are you getting all these awful thoughts? I never said that. Please, you're taking things to the extreme. It's not the first time I'm going on such a trip."

"Fine, you know what, Claire? Let's get a DIVORCE!" Adrian said as Claire's blood ran cold.
"What??"
"You heard me. Let's part ways, because I don't think this is ever gonna work out between us. You are going away all the time, leaving me alone like this...What's the use of this marriage when we have to live apart all the time?"
"It's been three freaking years since we married. And you haven't been able to give me a child."
For illustration purposes only | Source: YouTube / DramatizeMe
"What? Oh my God, Adrian...how could you say this to me?" Claire's eyes gushed with tears. "You know that I work hard for both of us...not just me. I support this house and our lifestyle. I work very hard to keep us afloat. You can't just say such cruel things to me...
"I thought we discussed having a child. You were okay when I told you we'd plan for a baby two years later without rushing now. Then what's the problem?"
"What's the problem...YOU ARE MY PROBLEM!"
"What? How can you blame me for not giving you a child? I'm not a child-rearing machine or something. Don't I have feelings...and ambitions? Besides, whatever I'm doing is for us! You don't earn, so—"
For illustration purposes only | Source: Facebook / AmoMama
"Damn! I should've known! Okay, so you ARE trying to taunt me by saying I'm JOBLESS and living off your money. I told you I'm yet to find a job...I'm looking."
"Adrian, you're getting everything wrong, okay? I'm not mocking you. I'd never do that."
"In that case, let's make a deal, alright?" Adrian added. "Let's get an amicable divorce...and split the property in half. Deal?"
"Half??"
"Yeah, half. You're running a business, but that doesn't make you an empress or something...where you can just walk around, barking orders at me. For what I've had to put up with, I deserve half."
For illustration purposes only | Source: Facebook / AmoMama
"I'm your HUSBAND, and I deserve your attention and respect. But I feel you're not treating me like how I deserve to be treated. You're just treating me like an object...like something that's sitting in the corner of this house...with no feelings or sentiments."
"Adrian, God, I can't believe you're doing this. And how could you ask to split the property? I earned it all...the house, the car. I pay for everything! Your branded clothes...and even the underwear you're wearing. It's all my money! I worked hard to get us to this level. Money didn't rain down from the skies or something."
"I don't care. By law, you'll have to give me half the property when we legally split. I've made up my mind, and there's nothing that can change my decision. I think I've dealt with this terrible marriage enough. It's time to part ways for good...and you can keep flying all the time. No obligations. No restrictions. Nothing between us!"

Although Claire wanted to cry and confront Adrian, she put on a calm face. "Fine, you know what, Addy..."
"Don't call me that!"
Adrian's cold words only rubbed salt into Claire's wounds. But she still smiled.
"Um, alright...ADRIAN...Let's not rush with this, okay? Let me get done with this business trip. And then we'll discuss everything with a cool head."
"Alright, if you say so," Adrian wickedly smiled while staring intensely into Claire's eyes. "You have only until a week to decide once you're back from this goddamn trip. Do you hear me?"
Claire silently nodded and wheeled her suitcase out of the bedroom and out of the apartment.

Ten minutes later, Adrian grabbed his phone and lay on the bed as he called Vanessa home. "Yeah, yeah! She's gone. I proposed a deal to her...asked for a divorce! What? I thought you'd be happy...Okay, see you soon. Hurry up!"
When Vanessa arrived, she was so mad at Adrian for wanting to divorce Claire. "Are you out of your mind, Adrian? What are you going to do for money if she leaves you?"
"Not to worry about that, sweetie pie," Adrian hugged her. "Following the divorce, she'd have to split her property in half...it's in the prenup!"
A sly smile lit up Vanessa's face, although she was a bit worried about her friend. "Great...but will this work? What if...what if she finds out about our affair? She'll never forgive me if she comes to know that I'm your mistress."

"Ah, are you worried about betraying your friend now? Where did your loyalty vanish when you shared the bed with me while Claire was on her business trip?"
Adrian's words stung Vanessa, and she stopped feeling guilty.
"I'm not worried. Not like I always got the best things in life like her! Anyway, let's not waste our time talking about her. Let's enjoy the day!"
While Vanessa and Adrian started getting intimate under the sheets, thinking Claire would be on a flight to Cairo, she was waiting for someone in the restaurant just three streets away.

"Hey, excuse me, I want to talk to you about something really important," Claire approached the delivery guy. "You were the one who delivered pizza the other day to apartment number 7776, right? You got an order for Tabasco pizza...my husband collected it from you, remember?"
"Oh, yeah, I do!" the delivery guy exclaimed after jogging his memories.
"Your husband was acting so weird. He ordered the pizza and then told me he didn't want it despite paying the money. How can I help you, Ma'am? By the way, I saw him with someone else that day…"
Claire swallowed hard and showed the delivery guy a picture of Vanessa on her phone.
"Was it her that you saw with my husband the other day?"

"Yes! That's her!"
Claire's heart sank, and a deep pang of agony filled her eyes when she glanced at the guy.
"Listen, I need your help. The woman you saw that day is my husband's mistress…Here, take this money. Do you have an order to deliver to my apartment?"
"Yes, I do!"
After hearing Claire's story, the kind pizza delivery man refused to take a penny from her and agreed to help her get back at her cheaters.

Around 20 minutes later...
"Honey, could you answer that?" Vanessa playfully teased Adrian in the bedroom when the doorbell buzzed. "I'm exhausted by all your love!"
"Be ready for more, babe!" Adrian teased back and hurried out of the bedroom while buttoning up his shirt and putting on his pants before answering the door.
"Can't you guys, for once, call me before coming in to deliver?" Adrian barked at the pizza delivery guy at the doorway. "I was busy with something really important...you guys are really annoying sometimes!"

Adrian expected an apology, but the delivery man stood still.
"Weird, your restaurant doesn't teach you guys manners, huh?"
Adrian grabbed the pizza box and stood back in shock while trying to make sense of why the box was feeling so light.
"I know you guys make pizzas with a very light dough...but so light that I can't even feel something's there in the box? It feels so empty...wait, did you eat the pizza on the way? Are you delivering an empty box?"
"I can't hear you, you stupid boy. Are you deaf? Did you bring me an empty box?"
But the delivery man, whose face was concealed under the helmet, stood still.

"Babe, babe...what's going on? Why are you shouting at him?" Vanessa came rushing to the doorway.
She was wrapped in a white bedsheet as she squeezed Adrian's shoulder, whispering to get back inside and send the guy away before somebody saw them together.
"Can you believe this, babe? I think he ate the pizza on the way. Do you think we're fools here, hey, Buster? I'm gonna report you and make sure you're fired today...just wait and watch. Bringing an empty box, eh?"

Just as Adrian unboxed the pizza, he stood back in disbelief at seeing the divorce papers inside instead of the hot and spicy Tabasco pizza.
"Are you kidding me? DIVORCE PAPERS??" he gasped, furrowing his brows. "Is this some kind of joke?"
"You might want to look down at the signature, Adrian!"
Adrian and Vanessa turned pale with shock when they heard a familiar voice and watched the delivery guy take off the helmet.

"CLAIRE??" they chorused in disbelief.
"SURPRISE!!" Claire laughed.
"Claire, what are you...what are you doing here?" Adrian froze like a deer caught in headlights.
"Oh, how was the surprise, Adrian? By the way, these aren't just ordinary divorce papers. These are divorce papers that prove you were cheating on me...with my best friend...So, according to the prenup, YOU GET NOTHING...NOT A PENNY FROM ME!"

"What?? Is this some kind of sick joke, Claire?" Adrian barked. "Cheating on you? What are you talking about? Do you even know what you're saying, Claire? Are you out of your mind?"
"Out of my mind? Then what's that behind YOU?" Claire laughed, pointing at Vanessa standing behind Adrian, her face bloodshot and eyes bulged in disbelief.
"Adrian, I long suspected that you were seeing someone...but my love for you blinded me. I grew to trust you and gave you a chance after chance, hoping you would mend your ways and not break my trust...
"But what do I see? My best friend and husband are banging on my bed behind my back! Thanks to the hot and spicy TABASCO pizza you ordered the other day, Vanessa! Oh, how did I miss noticing that you were my husband's...sorry, soon-to-be-ex-husband's mistress?!"

"What are you talking about, Claire? You're crazy. No one's gonna believe you! You have no proof! It won't take me a minute to flip this over and convince everyone that you were the one cheating on me...
"That you were meeting your secret lover by lying to me about your goddamn business trips. Think again, Claire. You're barking up the wrong tree...and it's going to harm you in ways you can never imagine!"
"Oh, really?!" Claire laughed. "I'm working on the proof right now, Adrian! You see this camera?"
Claire then showed the hidden camera pinned under her dress. "Everything's recorded. I bet this tiny thing is enough to expose your betrayal and prove to the world that my husband...who I worshipped like crazy and bent the skies for...was sleeping with my best friend behind my back!"

"Oh, wait, there's more proof! The delivery guy confirmed seeing Vanessa running out of our apartment the other day. And he was so kind to lend me his costume for my little performance in bringing the truth to light! Any last words?"
Having realized he could argue no more, Adrian instantly grew to regret his mistake and dropped to his knees. He pleaded with Claire to give him one last chance and not leave him.
"Babe, please, just one last chance is all I ask. It's not how it looks. She...she was the one who seduced me and dragged me into this mess. Please, it's not my fault. Vanessa took advantage of my loneliness whenever you left for those business trips. I'm a man...I couldn't hold myself back. Please, just once, be in my shoes and think...
"I'm sorry, Claire. I love you and you—"

"ENOUGH!" Claire angrily rose and cut off Adrian's pleas. "That's enough! You've been betraying me...forever. I genuinely loved you. I worked hard day and night to make things work for us. But you betrayed me...you broke my trust and my heart."
"You said you loved me, but you slept with my best friend. What husband who really loves his wife does that? Would you forgive me if I did the same horrible thing to you?"
"Claire, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do this. Please, trust me. I didn't drag him into this. It just happened. I'm really sorry, please," Vanessa cried.

"SHUT UP! I don't want to hear another word!" Claire yelled at Vanessa. "We were childhood friends...but not anymore!
"You know what? Both of you liars and two-faced traitors deserve each other! My marriage and friendship are both...OVER!" Claire hurried to the guest room.
As Adrian and Vanessa watched in disbelief, Claire returned with Adrian's suitcase.
"I think it's time for you to leave my house, Adrian."

"Claire, no, no, no! Please, just give me one chance. I promise to fix everything...I'd do anything to win your trust back. Claire, honey, please, don't do this. I have nowhere to go. Please."
"Trust once broken is forever broken! You've got one hour to pack and get the hell out of my house...and my life! Good luck!" Claire hurled her wedding ring on the floor and stormed out of the house.
Months after the divorce, Claire found herself on a Hawaiian beach, basking in the warm pink and gold sunset, a cocktail in hand, embracing her newfound freedom and peace.
