Meg Ryan Dismisses at ‘Unrecognizable’ Comments and Plastic Surgery Allegations
Meg Ryan has dedicated much of her career to the entertainment industry but stepped away in 2015 to focus on other priorities. During a previous sighting, fans noticed how the actress' appearance had changed and took their insights to Twitter. However, she remains unfazed.
As a Hollywood actress for many years, hearing rumors and opinions from strangers is nothing new to Meg Ryan. It has made her stronger and more confident in the entertainment scene as she chooses to drown the noise.
In a recent interview, the 62-year-old admitted that she liked her age despite being in her senior year. She knows she is considered old now, yet isn't petrified by her age. If anything, the past years made her stop trying to please others and be comfortable in her own skin.

Ryan isn't fazed by the negativity and fabricated stories from tabloids and social media that headline her looks during public appearances. The "Sleepless in Seattle" star said:
"I can't pay attention to it. I just can't. It's not worth it. Of course, that would hurt someone's feelings, but there are so many more interesting things to think about. Meanness and hatred are just so stupid."
In August 2023, several Twitter users called Ryan "unrecognizable" during a public sighting and suggested she had Botox and fillers on her face.
One of them believed the actress should have strayed away from plastic surgery and bask in the natural aging process. Sadly, some were a little more harsh with their words, going as far as calling Ryan "horrible."

Nevertheless, Ryan is focusing on her progress. She is preoccupied with rebuilding her career and has no plans of slowing down anytime soon. Ryan recently starred in and directed the romantic comedy "What Happens Later" alongside her leading man, David Duchovny.
The film came after Meg Ryan decided to step away from the entertainment industry for nearly a decade to focus on her family and other priorities. Her last known work was in 2015.
