The Texas Department of Public Safety later confirmed Lynch's death, revealing the heartbreaking details of the accident. Their preliminary investigation indicated that Lynch's vehicle was struck head-on by another car attempting to overtake on a two-way, undivided highway.

Lynch, remembered for her role as an upright bassist and lead vocalist, was declared dead at the scene. The other driver, who caused the collision, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. A full investigation into the accident has been initiated.

After the release of "Shouldn't a Told You That" in 1993, Lynch gradually distanced herself from the group. By 1995, she had fully departed the band to focus on her personal life.

She devoted herself to her husband, Mac Tull, and their family, creating a home brimming with love and musical heritage. Together, they raised their daughter, Asia, as well as Tull's sons, Meriwether and Christopher.
