Mom Finds Out Sons Took DNA Tests, Anger Boils over before She Even Knows the Results & She Reveals Her Infidelity

A man's ex-girlfriend told him he was a father several years after they split. Afterward, they had a DNA test, and the results divided the man and his family.

A Reddit user revealed in 2022 that he dated a young woman some years ago, and their relationship was no good. "She was very controlling and abusive; it ended up really bad, and we broke up," he explained. They both moved on, and he got a decent job that paid him well enough to live a comfortable life. Months after getting his new job, the ex-girlfriend contacted him, and he believed she wanted to reconnect.

She showed up with a five-year-old boy, claiming he was his son, and demanded that he should pay child support. The Original Poster (OP) admitted he did not believe his former love at first, but then he remembered the child's age matched the time they had initially cut contact with each other.

With the help of his lawyer friend, OP decided that he would only step up and take responsibility for the boy and be a part of his life if his ex-girlfriend agreed to do a DNA test.

Everyone was on board with this except for the ex. She became offended and demanded that OP give her the money she deserved. She even went as far as involving his family, telling them he refused to take responsibility. He revealed:

"When she ran out of excuses, and the DNA test was finally made, and SURPRISE! I'm not the father. She was so mad with the result and cried about the money, saying it was unfair and she deserved it."

One day, OP and his family gathered for a party at his parents' house. He and his brother and friend sat away from everyone while talking, and his sibling decided to joke about OP's situation with his ex.

He and the said pal jumped on the bandwagon. OP admitted their remarks about his former flame were offensive, and his sister overheard them. She was so upset that she pushed him against the wall and yelled at them for making a mockery of the ex.

After the party ended, OP's sister, who had been in contact with the ex and was on her side, sat down with him and their parents in the kitchen and told them about what he had done. During the "intervention," OP and his brother were stunned by their sibling's efforts to make him take responsibility for the child and shamed him for making his ex a single parent. According to her, he is obligated to help her.

OP's father chimed in, saying he should not have participated in making jokes about the circumstances while noting that he is not responsible for the child. To OP's shock, his mother said although the child was not his, he should still be able to care for him because he earns enough money.

Since that encounter, OP's father and brother assured him they were on his side, while his sister made him feel bad about the situation, calling him a "horrible" person. As for his mother, she said it was his decision, and she respected it while stating she was disappointed in him for being selfish.

After the initial post on Reddit, OP updated fellow users on the platform and revealed he showed his mother the comments. The mom realized she was wrong and explained she only believed his ex because she had always shown kindness toward her. His mom apologized to him, and they made amends.

As for his sister, she told him she would speak to him when he decided to take responsibility. Still, even after he showed her the comments, she supported the ex, saying, "A woman's word go first, and that's all the proof anyone could need." OP's sister said even though he knows the child is not his, he should still take responsibility.

OP realized there was no winning with her. So, he researched his ex-girlfriend and discovered she started dating someone else shortly after they broke up. However, they split weeks later, and she continued seeing other people until she fell pregnant.

According to him, she had been trying to "find a father" for her son for two years before she reached out to him. Relentless in holding him accountable, OP's ex and sister embarrassed him at his workplace.

They made big signs of his face and wrote that he abandoned his son and was an irresponsible parent. They were removed from the premises, and he got in trouble at work. He tried to show legal documentation that the two women were dishonest, and he was warned that he would be fired if they did that again.

After that debacle, OP contacted his lawyer friend, and he sued them for trying to tarnish his name. He hoped that it would get them to stop, and fortunately for him, it worked, partially. OP divulged:

"My ex was extremely freaked out when she knew about it. She is now begging to drop it, she offered to take back everything she said [and] to never bother or even contact me again."

However, OP's sister did not back down after learning he would take the legal route. She continued to speak ill of him on social media; he said this was the evidence he needed for proof. As time passed, OP's family gathered again, and his relatives told him his sister would not be there. But they lied to him. He discovered that it was their mother's tactic to resolve the issue out of court.

Once he realized his sibling was there, he attempted to leave, but the relatives tried to stop him. His mother started crying, accusing him of tearing the family apart and that he needed to forgive and let go. OP said even after proving that he was telling the truth, it was clear that his parent sided with his sister. He left and told her he would not attend any family get-together if his sister were there.

The rest of the family members now knew what had happened, and while some believed that she was out of line, others said he was taking things too far. OP's mother decided to reunite him and his sister by inviting him over for Christmas.

Luckily, his brother informed him beforehand. "I called my mom and told her I knew and that I was done with her and my sister," OP wrote. His parent tried to reach out to him and acted out after he decided not to come home for Christmas.

Recently, OP provided another update and revealed that he won the lawsuit as they solved the matter in conciliation meetings. His ex eventually gave up and had to compensate him for damages to his reputation, leaving his sister alone. As for the sibling, she deleted everything she had posted about her brother. She had to pay him a reasonable sum, including legal costs. Their mother helped her pay, but their father demanded that she repay the money.

Like the ex, the sister also asked for forgiveness, and she and OP mended their relationship. OP said he and his sister are on good terms now, even though their relationship is fractured. As for the siblings' mom, she tried her best to get OP to drop the case and even threatened to disown him. That got him thinking if she was his real mother because of how she treated him.

OP suggested he and his brother do DNA tests, revealing they were their father's sons. When OP decided to tell his mom what they had done, she physically attacked him before he even apologized.

Her reaction made them even more suspicious. OP revealed that his mother admitted to having an affair before he was born and only stopped until she learned she was pregnant with him. For years, she was unsure of who his birth father was.

The night she exposed herself, OP's dad threw her out of the family home but has since returned. OP revealed his father does not want a divorce, but he is not in a relationship with his mother as far as he is concerned. As for OP, he is now in therapy as he finally got to understand why his mother treated him that way.

Their relationship is now ruined, and she blames him for it and for ending her marriage with his father. OP wants to cut ties with his parent.
