Jennifer Lopez has found herself the topic of discussion following recent events relating to her former boyfriend, who is also a public figure. At the same time, she is allegedly having marital woes and is rumored to be separated from her husband.

Lopez’s marriage to Ben Affleck is reportedly on the rocks. There have been numerous reports that the couple split and are living in separate houses. Affleck was spotted at his Brentwood home, while Lopez was seen house hunting recently.

"Ben Affleck has been staying at a home that he seems to be occupying without his wife, Jennifer Lopez — and he was spotted leaving there this morning ... this amid split rumors," TMZ captioned their Instagram post.

On May 16, 2024, paparazzi reportedly captured the actor leaving the Brentwood neighborhood, and he appeared to be alone. Additionally, he was not seen at his house with Lopez the previous night, suggesting he spent the night at the Brentwood address.

A media report further claimed Affleck and Lopez are no longer together. He has allegedly already moved out of their marital home in Beverly Hills and has been staying at the Brentwood house for the past week or so.

On the other hand, Lopez’s world-famous ex-boyfriend is currently under public scrutiny after getting into trouble with the law. He has been sued multiple times for the abuse of women.

The former lover has been making headlines recently after an old surveillance video of him physically assaulting his then-girlfriend resurfaced online.

Netflix promoted Lopez's new movie, "Atlas" on their Instagram account and tagged the actress on the post. However, online users focused their attention on her ex, Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, instead. They commented on how she has been silent since the clip went viral.

One Instagram user said, "Don't be silent about your ex Diddy." Another follower commented, "No supporting words for 'CASSIE' everyone got the side eyes on you, your silence speaks loud..." One user asked, "When ya speaking out on the Diddy stuff tho?"

Meanwhile, other social media users on YouTube also weighed in on the matter. "He needs to go to jail for 100 years," wrote one person. Another exclaimed, "So glad this came out!! I pray for justice and that his career is finally over!"

Someone else concurred, "This guy should be locked up and his wealth divided among women's shelters in this country." "She suffered for years. Put that man behind bars!" said another. Someone else mentioned how the ex is a danger to society, writing, "This man is DANGEROUS. He needs to be locked up."

Lopez and Diddy’s romance began in 1999 while she was preparing to release her debut album, "On The 6," which he helped produce. At the height of his fame, Diddy made tabloid headlines for his "tumultuous" relationship with Lopez.

The two bonded over their love of music, and Diddy quickly became a "mentor" to Lopez. In her emotional 2024 documentary, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told," Lopez detailed her past abusive relationships. This led fans to speculate that she was referring to her ex, Diddy.

However, a source argued that Lopez was not referring to Diddy but to a subsequent relationship. The actress, without naming who had been abusive, said, "There were people in my life who said, 'I love you' and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word love."

She further recalled, "Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun. I mean, I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and experienced a couple of other unsavory things. Rough. Disrespectful."

Lopez and Diddy had avoided speaking negatively about each other after their breakup until 2003. In an interview, Lopez revealed, "It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy, and going nuts. It really took my whole life in a tailspin."

During their relationship, there were rumors that Lopez would search for Diddy, knocking on hotel room doors. She recounted, "[...] I never caught him, but I just knew. He’d say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night."

Lopez explained that they split so often that Diddy didn’t believe it when she left him for good in February 2001. She reflected, "I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in ten years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning?"

In addition to the cheating, the couple had a run-in with the law. In 1999, Diddy and Lopez were arrested on gun possession charges after a shooting at a Times Square dance club.

Three bystanders were wounded, but none had life-threatening injuries. Neither Diddy nor Lopez were charged in connection with the shootings, and Lopez was later cleared and released.

Several years after their highly publicized relationship, Lopez opened up about their romance in a 2019 interview. She described her time with Diddy as a "crazy, heightened time in her life."

The former Hollywood couple were together for two years before splitting in 2001 because Lopez did not believe she could have the family life she dreamed of with Diddy.

Meanwhile, Diddy's life has been in turmoil recently. Six months ago, Cassie Ventura, his ex-girlfriend, filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse during their decade-long relationship. However, Diddy denied the allegations and the pair have since reached an undisclosed settlement.

Most recently, CNN released a surveillance video dating back to March 2016. In the footage, Ventura appears to be leaving a Los Angeles hotel room and as soon as she reaches the elevator, Diddy, who wore only a towel, comes from behind and strikes her to the floor.

While down, he kicks her twice from behind and attempts to drag her away from the elevator bank. Another moment from the clip shows Diddy shoving Ventura at a corner and throwing an object in her direction.

After the video made headlines, Ventura's attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement, "The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs."

In addition, Diddy publicly apologized via video on Instagram. He expressed that it is difficult to reflect on one of the darkest periods in his life, adding that although he had hit rock bottom at that point, he was not making excuses for what he had done.

"My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, and I’m disgusted now," said the record executive.

The musician revealed that he sought professional help and has been to therapy and rehab. "I had to ask God for his mercy and for his grace. I’m so sorry. [...] I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry," Diddy expressed.

After recent events, online users suggested that Diddy may be responsible for his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter's death. One commented, "You are sorry we saw what you actually did and do. Justice for Cassie. Justice for Kim.” Another asked, "Kim Porter...What did she go through???" "His wife's death should be investigated," penned one social media user.

Porter passed away in November 2018 at her Los Angeles residence. Law enforcement revealed that she went to bed early because she wasn't feeling well. When family members tried to wake her, she was unresponsive, and paramedics pronounced her dead at home. The emergency call reported cardiac arrest.

Porter had reportedly been battling an illness, possibly the flu or pneumonia, and was being treated with saline and vitamins. No illegal drugs were found.

Porter and Diddy have three children together: twin girls, Jessie James and D'Lila, born in 2006, and a son, Christian, born in 1998. She also has a son, Quincy Brown, from a previous relationship with Al B. Sure!

After the debacle following the recent release of the 2016 footage, the LA County District Attorney's Office announced that Diddy would not be prosecuted. It is because at eight years old, this video falls outside the statute of limitations.

Meanwhile, people fear for the safety of Diddy’s current partner. In May 2024, the star paid tribute to his significant other on Instagram, alongside pictures of her and her daughter.

“HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY DANA! Thank you for being the best Mom to Baby Love! We love you!” the record producer captioned his post.

"She needs to take her child and run," wrote one user. Another said, "If I saw a video where my husband is beating another woman, I would file for divorce immediately." Someone else commented, "Another one of your victims."

While Lopez has remained mum on Diddy's actions, the public demands justice for the crimes he committed. There is significant attention on why she is quiet and the situation is further complicated by her marital issues with Affleck.
