Jennifer Lopez and Her Stepdaughter Were Seen Walking Arm-in-Arm, Violet's Appearance Caused Concern among Users

Pictures of Jennifer Lopez and her stepdaughter caused a stir online as netizens expressed concern, especially regarding a medical accessory she wore.

All dressed up to enjoy a day in sunny Southampton, New York, Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez and her stepdaughter, Violet Affleck, were seen out on July 14. While photos of the pair showed them enjoying their time together, walking arm-in-arm, the public focused their attention on how they appeared, particularly where Violet was concerned.

For their outing, the "The Mother" actress donned a maxi dress with a plunging neckline and big aviator sunglasses. She also sported sandals and wore her wedding ring as she carried a stylish, black Hermes Birkin.

The 18-year-old daughter of iconic entertainers Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner rocked a pink top, which was covered by a short red cardigan.

She completed her ensemble with white pants that had colorful prints of different food types on them. Violet also wore white tennis shoes, carried a tote bag, and fastened a white medical mask around her nose and mouth.

Jennifer and Violet were joined by actress Cassidey Fralin, who a media outlet called Violet's best friend. According to sources, the trio was headed to 75 Main Restaurant to enjoy some food.

Less fussed about fawning over the sweet stepmother-stepdaughter moment, social media users couldn't help but express worry for Violet because she was wearing a mask. "Girl needs help," wrote an Instagrammer.

Another asserted, "Poor girl can't breathe." Others were left puzzled as to why the teenager was wearing a mask in the first place. "Why is this girl wearing a [mask]?" questioned an Instagrammer while another echoed, "Why the mask?????"

Attempting to answer the aforementioned questions, a social media user stated, "I think the daughter has an immune disorder is why the mask." A critic remarked, "Nice mask 🤣🤣🤣🤣."

Violet's Southampton excursion with Jennifer was not the first time she has been seen sporting a face mask. A few days before this, Violet wore a mask while spending some more time with Jennifer.

From the cover image of a post shared about this outing, which showed Jennifer dressed in jeans and a white shirt, it appears that the pair went out to get some ice cream.

Violet has been spending a lot of time with her stepmother lately. In addition to these outings, she and Jennifer have been spotted together on other occasions. A media outlet reports that Violet decided to join Jennifer on the East Coast, amid the singer's stay in the Hamptons.

Aside from grabbing ice cream and dining together, Violet also appeared in one of her stepmother's since-deleted Instagram Stories. The two were enjoying a sunny car ride with the roof of the vehicle open after Violet had arrived in the Hamptons.

Someone deemed a source by a news outlet shared that the duo had also gone shopping at an East Hampton store called Roller Rabbit on the same day, July 13. The day before, July 12, Violet and Jennifer were seen shopping for dresses at LoveShackFancy in Sag Harbor.

Additionally, the same day they were seen walking arm-in-arm, Violet Affleck and Jennifer were spotted yet again, taking a drive around the area after coming from a workout session.

According to a source, the duo enjoy each other's company a lot. "They both seem so happy to be spending this time together and are just enjoying the moment," the same source added.

Jennifer and Violet's outings come amid the marriage drama the "Atlas" talent is facing with Violet's father, Ben. While his daughter and wife were living it up and having fun on Sunday, July 14, the "Gone Girl" star spent some time in Los Angeles.

Paparazzi snapped photos of Ben riding solo on his motorcycle. Exuding authentic biker style, Ben sported a black leather jacket and matching gloves. Prioritizing safety, he also made sure to wear a sturdy helmet.

While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been seen spending ample time away from each other on solo trips and outings, it does not mean that their marriage has come to an end.
