The Sun reported that Thompson's appearance in the show, when she was only 6 years old, made the audience love the show even more thanks to her 'sassy' personality

Nowadays, Thompson is 12 years old and, since she has not been in the spotlight for a while, people can barely recognize her.

However, she was so influential on people that TLC even created a program where she was the star: Here Comes Honey Boo Boo

The show consisted of filming the adventures of the family in the town of McIntyre, George. Unfortunately for them, it received negative reviews and severe critics.

In 2014, TLC finally canceled the reality because Thompson's mother, June Shannon, was dating a registered sex offender. She later denied those allegations.

In 2015, Thompson surprised a lot of people when she was spotted at the premiere of Marriage Boot Camp, where she wore a black and white dress.

That day, her hair was also very different from what people recalled. Her curls were transformed into a sleek blow-dry. She finished her look with some pretty makeup, reported The Sun.

Thompson was also featured in the series The Doctors, where experts had a health intervention to help her get in better shape.

After three years of not having a TV show, Thompson and her family came back to the little screen with another reality show

This time, it is called Mama June: From Not to Hot. This show is about Shannon and the 'revenge diet' she began to look as good as possible for her ex-husband's wedding day.

Earlier this year, Oprah interview Thompson as one of the segments of her series Where are The Now.

In it, she admitted that she enjoyed her time out if the spotlight right after Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled.

At the moment, she keeps informed her fans through her Facebook page, where more that one million people follow her.
