In an industry obsessed with youth, fillers and Botox once promised perfection. But now, these celebrities are ripping back the curtain — revealing the emotional cost of chasing the ideal face.

1. Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande, 2023, bare-faced and vulnerable in Vogue's "Beauty Secrets" video — and instead of just beauty tips, she offered a moment of pure, painful honesty.

"Had a ton of lip filler over the years. And Botox," she revealed as she dabbed gloss on her lips. "I stopped in 2018 'cause I just felt so — too much." Her voice dropped. "I just felt like hiding, you know?"

7. Anna Faris

Anna Faris opened up about the moment she began altering her appearance — and how it quietly snowballed into something she would come to regret.

"I did it for a little bit and I noticed a small difference, but no one else ever said anything," she shared, referring to her lip injections during the filming of "The House Bunny."

"I kept wondering if anybody else even noticed," she recalled. When her friends finally did speak up, it was too late. Her lips had grown too large, and the compliments never came.

She began to wean off the injections, later calling the enhancements a "mistake" and "definitely not the right choice."

Then came the bombshell. She candidly shared, "Living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, botox, [extensions], and all the [things] I thought I needed in order to keep up with what society conditioned me to believe what a sexy woman should look like until the toxicity of it all almost killed me."

"I have done fillers and it's been good and I've done fillers and it's been bad," she said. "I've had to get them dissolved, and I've been ridiculed relentlessly. And I have shed tears about it. It's very stressful."

10. Kylie Jenner

In 2023, Kylie Jenner — who famously built an empire off her pillowy pout — grew tired of the constant criticism surrounding her lips. "I went on a journey the last year, dissolving half my lip filler," she admitted in June 2024.

But the toll of scrutiny had clearly weighed on her. "I hate even having this conversation over and over and over again because it feels like a waste of my breath because I think, with me, it’s just never gonna change," she said.

As she cried on camera, her sister Kendall stepped in to comfort her. "Why do people think it’s okay to talk about me?" she asked through sobs — a raw moment that revealed the crushing weight of living under a microscope.

11. Amy Schumer

And then there's Amy Schumer, never afraid to turn pain into punchlines — even when it comes to her own face. She wrote, "I tried getting fillers. Turns out I was already full." Her Instagram post was classic Schumer: biting, brutal, and deeply human.

She added, "Thank God you can dissolve them I looked like #malificent [sic]."

Her practitioner chimed in later, explaining that the filler had been placed elsewhere and later removed after both agreed it wasn't working.
