She made it to nearly 36 weeks. The twins were almost here. But something went terribly wrong.

Food influencer Tineke "Tini" Younger, whose cozy kitchen content has brought comfort to millions, is now living every mother's nightmare — revealing that one of her twin daughters has died following a sudden and catastrophic pregnancy complication.

The 24-year-old TikTok star had carried her girls to nearly 36 weeks before suffering a placental abruption, a rare condition that caused her placenta to tear away from the uterus — cutting off oxygen to one baby in the final moments before birth.

'She Will Always Be Celebrated': A Mother's Grief

In a searing Instagram post, Younger broke the devastating news.

"This isn't the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came," she shared. "Unfortunately, earlier this week we lost our sweet girl Arya (Baby A) [...] They both are so beautiful, and Arya will always be celebrated. Her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister."

Her surviving daughter, Arya's twin, whose name she did not reveal, is breathing on her own and doing well. Younger, who built a digital empire through warmth, food, and family, told her 12 million followers that she will be stepping back from content for now.

In her heartbreaking statement, Younger also revealed the cause of Arya's death. "We were so close to being done and getting the girls to term, but I had a placenta abruption, and we lost our sweet girl," she revealed.

What Is Placental Abruption, and Why Is It So Dangerous?

Placental abruption is a sudden, often silent killer. It occurs when the placenta — the organ that supplies a baby with oxygen and nutrients — pulls away from the uterus wall too early.

In the final weeks of pregnancy, this separation can mean immediate loss of oxygen, extreme bleeding, and fetal death.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the cause is often unknown. In some cases, it's triggered by trauma or a sudden loss of amniotic fluid. In others, it simply strikes without warning — as it did with Younger.

From Joyful Kicks to a Crushing Silence

Just months ago, Younger was glowing — literally and figuratively — as she announced she and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., were expecting twins. "2 sous chefs on the way❤️," she posted on Instagram on June 24, 2025.

The couple's July gender reveal was pure joy. They opened a beachside box labeled "Boys?? or Girls??" and pink balloons soared into the sky. Younger squealed, jumped up and down, and leapt into Wright's arms.

In September, the pair hosted a vibrant baby shower. And on November 13, just days before the twins' birth, they marked their first wedding anniversary.

"1 year married, 6 years together🤍 Happy anniversary to my best friend❤️," Younger wrote.

Cooking Through Cravings and Contractions

Even in her third trimester, Younger stayed in the kitchen — her domain, her stage. In October, she told People that pregnancy hadn't slowed her down, except for a shift in cravings.

"Honestly, nothing's really changed," she revealed. "It's just more of I just want to eat more sweet foods than savory food." As her due date approached, Wright stepped in behind the stove.

"The other day, he made some gnocchi sausage cream soup, and then today he's going to make loaded baked potato soup," she laughed. "I've kind of just been directing him from the couch [...] He's not bad — but he's not me."

A Holiday She Never Expected to Face

Just weeks before her twins were born, Younger was still planning to film Thanksgiving content for her audience — even as her pregnancy made moving around difficult.

"I'm going to push through, just sit on my chair because that's my main thing," she told People. "Especially around the holidays for content — everyone comes to my page for recipes."

But when the twins arrived early — and one did not survive — those plans may have fallen away.
