Nicole Kidman Spotted at Italian Hotel with Michael Reinstein After Split from Keith Urban – Photos
After months of choosing privacy over public explanations, the actress resurfaced in a moment that felt unusually unguarded.
Nicole Kidman has largely kept her personal life private since ending her nearly two-decade marriage. However, a new set of photographs from Italy has placed one particularly intriguing encounter firmly in the spotlight.
The Oscar-winning actress was seen at an Italian hotel with businessman Michael Reinstein, whose résumé spans a wide range of industries.
While the pair appeared comfortable and cheerful during the interaction, it was not Reinstein's identity that got people talking. One unexpected detail in the photographs quickly became the focus of the online conversation.

One observer questioned the contrast between Kidman's delicate outfit and Reinstein's fully dressed appearance. The commenter also wondered whether the moment had been staged for photographers. | Source: Facebook/Page Six
Kidman Emerges from a Private Chapter
The sighting arrived after a turbulent period in Kidman's personal life. Her divorce from country music star Keith Urban was finalized in Tennessee on January 6, 2026, when a judge signed off on the former couple's agreement.
Kidman had filed for divorce in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. However, she and Urban had already settled the major details before the filing and were reportedly waiting for judicial approval.
Both stars waived spousal and child support and retained their respective assets, an arrangement that suggested a prenuptial agreement may have been in place.
They also agreed to complete co-parenting classes and follow a parenting plan under which their children would spend 306 days with Kidman and 59 days with Urban.
Major choices involving their two daughters, including decisions about their education and health care, were to be made jointly. Kidman and Urban reportedly separated in June 2025. According to TMZ, Kidman had hoped to save the marriage, while Urban seemingly did not share that goal. The former couple married in 2006.
Following the split, Kidman offered a rare glimpse into how she had handled the intense public attention surrounding the end of her marriage. Reflecting on her difficult year, she told Variety that she had become noticeably quieter while navigating private challenges.
"Last year, I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell," she admitted. Despite the upheaval, Kidman made it clear that preserving a sense of unity remains her priority.
"I'm always going to be moving toward what's good. What I'm grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That's that. Everything else I don't discuss out of respect," she explained.
The actress continued, "I'm staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that's what we'll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women." Her comments suggested that even after a deeply personal transition, Kidman was determined to approach the future with gratitude and discretion. Then came the pictures from Italy.

Who Is Michael Reinstein?
Although Reinstein may not command the same name recognition as Kidman, he is far from unfamiliar with powerful circles in business and entertainment. The Los Angeles native founded Regent, a Beverly Hills-based global private equity company, in 2013. He serves as the firm's founder, chairman and CEO.
Regent's portfolio has reportedly included companies and brands across fashion, retail, media, consumer products and industry, including Escada, La Senza, Club Monaco, Sunset magazine, Defense News, Army Times and Lillian Vernon.
Before creating Regent, Reinstein worked at Hollywood talent agency ICM Partners. He also spent time as a junior staff member in the office of former President Ronald Reagan.
He graduated from the University of Southern California before earning a law degree from Pepperdine University. Reinstein is also a member of the California State Bar. His earlier ventures include co-founding the USN television network, which expanded into more than 30 million homes before being sold.
Reinstein later served as CEO of The Franklin Mint and CinemaNow, a digital entertainment platform. Outside the corporate world, he established the Military Charity Organization, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that recognizes members of the United States military through its Service Members of the Year program.
His Instagram account had accumulated more than 46,000 followers before it was deactivated, according to a detailed profile of the businessman.
Reinstein and Kidman's Italian Encounter Drew Immediate Attention
During the hotel sighting, Reinstein wore a blue shirt, shorts and sunglasses, presenting a relaxed appearance. As he departed, the Regent founder reached past the grates outside Kidman's window. Both were reportedly smiling throughout their exchange.
The seemingly warm interaction was enough to generate curiosity. Still, the photographs alone do not establish the nature of Kidman and Reinstein's relationship. Neither has publicly confirmed that the meeting was romantic.
Yet observers focused less on the identity of Kidman’s companion and became preoccupied with what the actress was wearing during the hotel encounter.

Another commenter turned Kidman's hotel attire into a blunt joke after the new images circulated online. The reaction reflected how quickly her clothing became almost as discussed as her encounter with Reinstein. | Source: Facebook/Page Six
After the images circulated on Facebook, commenters wasted little time sharing their impressions. One woman wrote, "In her silky night gown [sic]." Another questioned the contrasting appearances of Kidman and Reinstein, remarking, "So he's dressed and she's not? Posing for the pap?" A third commenter joked, "She forgot her dress."
The encounter may have been entirely friendly or business-related, but its timing ensured it would attract attention. Nicole Kidman is newly single, Reinstein has extensive ties to both business and entertainment, and the photographs offer just enough mystery to leave viewers wondering about the story behind them.
