"I will love you forever, my boy." Chrissy Teigen in mourning after tragic loss

Her fans and followers of the social media star shared their thoughts and prayers.

As reported in an article published by Faith Family America, famous model Chrissy Teigen shared her grief with her fans an followers on social media and announced the death of her dog, Puddy, last week on Wednesday, March 7.

Teigen is married to the music icon, John Legend. Teigen and Legend got the English Bulldog during the first year of their courtship, almost 10 years ago.

Teigen is well known to frequently create a stir in the media for using her social media platform to express her political beliefs and thoughts.

But when she posted the heartbreaking news of her dog's death, followers were quick to express their condolences.

Teigen revealed that she had convinced Legend that half-birthday presents were a real thing. That's when Legend agreed to get Puddy on May 30, 2008.

"10 years ago, on May 30th, I found the dog that would be there for us through every up, down, new house, new city, new tour, new travel. He welcomed new pups and loved new babies and new bellies."

She recalled how Puddy was always by her side through kisses and sobs. She agreed to the globally accepted notion of how owning a dog can be a blessing as well as a curse as they stay only for a few years in one's life.

Teigan admitted that she had pondered how horrible she would feel once the day of Puddy's passing would come. She said that it felt like she lost a piece of her own self and experienced the hole that was formed in her life.

She ended her heartfelt message that she wrote alongside the images of Puddy and thanked him for the wonderful companionship he offered her throughout his life.
