Morgan Roof was given a high bail amount but it’s not clear what punishment she will face. According to Faith Family America, the teenager was arrested on March 14, 2018.

On June 17, 2015, Dylann Roof walked into a church service at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. There he opened fire and shot and killed nine people, all African Americans.

The shooting was determined to be an act of terrorism, as Dylann had created a website specifically dedicated to white supremacy and to supporting Neo-Nazism. He was convicted of 33 hate crime charges in December of 2016 and was sentenced to life in prison.

Now it seems his sister might be trying to walk in his footsteps. According to ABC News, Morgan Roof, 18, was arrested after bringing in drugs, pepper spray, and a knife into her school in South Carolina.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department shared that an administrator at A.C. Flora High School had called a resource officer after suspicions about the possessions.

‘I hope it’s a trap and y’all get shot we know it’s fixing to be nothing but black people walkin out anyway.’

Morgan is being charged with two counts of carrying weapons on school property. She was also charged with marijuana possession and will not be allowed to return to the school.

Fellow students also claimed that Morgan had sent several suspicious and hateful Snapchat messages that were alarming. Her messages were linked to the planned walkout that was about to take place at the time.

The walkout was around the topic of gun control. Reports said that the judge had set Morgan’s bond at $5,000.

The teenager has been screened for a public defender. At this point, no further information has been released about what punishment the girl will face.

The quick reaction by police could’ve prevented the plan that Morgan had for the knife she carried.
