Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are reportedly at the edge of divorce after 12 years of marriage

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are the ideal image of wedded bliss while in public, but it seems they are not as happy behind closed doors. According to New Idea, the couple is breaking up and at the verge of divorce.

In Touch reported that the couple recently went to the quiet town of Cabot in Vermont to attend 'Marriage Quest', which the publication describes as a five-day private counseling retreat. A source told the magazine that the two are not doing so well. ‘Nicole and Keith went for an emergency stay. It was an extremely emotional and testing few days. Friends think this will end in divorce.’

The couple has been married for 12 years but the insider says that they have had unaddressed issues eating at their relationship for that long. It doesn’t help that they both have busy careers that have them in different cities most of the time. The insider also says that Kidman never really got over Urban’s addiction problem.

‘They have been putting a Band-Aid over their problems for too long. While they have smiles plastered on their faces in public, in private, things have been falling apart. (In Vermont) they addressed a range of issues including emotional intimacy and focused on the root of their problems as they learned to break down walls and start working on their issues rather than plastering over the cracks.’

Neither of the two has addressed this rumor. Both Kidman and Urban have constantly put out that they happily married, with Kidman lauding her husband for his commitment to their relationship. 'For every single night he's away, he leaves me a love letter. Every single night of our relationship.'
