Matt Lauer's neighbors reveal he's a shadow of his former self with his recent poor look

They say he looks skinny and refrains from indulging in small talk.

According to an article published by In Touch Weekly, neighbors of former Today host Matt Lauer have reported that he has not been coping well after his career and reputation were tarnished over sexual assault allegations.

Lauer’s acquaintances from his neighborhood in the Hamptons shared that he tends to look extremely dull and sad at all times.

One of the residents of the Hamptons stated that his looks had changed drastically in comparison to his groomed appearance on television.

The resident revealed that the 60-year-old had lost an excessive amount of weight and he looked 10 years older, despite it being only a few months since his firing from NBC.

Even one of the employees from a local store noticed that Lauer had changed. He mentioned that Lauer was a warm individual who loved to talk.

However, since the last few months, he avoids conversations, keeps a low profile and appears to be in a bad emotional state.

Another neighbor reported that although Lauer is seen outside, he is mostly by himself. This is in contrast to happier times when he and his wife Annette would often go out together.

Their relationship has come to an abrupt end, and an anonymous source confirmed that Anette had left Lauer for good.

When the reports of sexual misconduct came in, she did not want to hear any pleas or apologies from Lauer and bluntly informed him that she was filing for a divorce.

While Lauer seems to be struggling to move on, his wife has already started a new chapter in her life. Reports are that she no longer wears the wedding ring and is enjoying some private time in Europe.
