Mariah Carey is spotted all smiles while ex-fiancé suffers mental breakdown

Mariah Carey’s ex-fiancé 50-year-old James Parker suffered a mental breakdown and had to check himself in a $35,000 US psychiatric hospital to deal with his issues. Meanwhile, as Radar reports, Mariah was spotted having a family fun-day with her ex-husband Nick Cannon and their two children, Monroe and Morocco. The family attended Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards at The Forum in Inglewood.

Parker and Carey had a very public relationship that ended in engagement and a little drama towards the end. Parker was doing fine until a few weeks ago when news of his mental status was made public. His investment vehicle CPH released a statement saying that Parker would be out of commission for a while. Now, we know that he will be spending two weeks at Boston’s McLean Hospital’s The Pavilion as he tries to regain his mental health.

“Mr. Packer is suffering from mental health issues. At this time he intends to step back from all commitments.”

After he checked himself in the facility, a forlorn parker was photographed walking around with his mother, Roslyn Parker, who had visited. In recent months, Parker has been trying to get back together with his second wife, Erika Baxter, who he separated with before he got together with Mariah Carey. They have three children and have been on good terms even after the divorce. Before Parker married Baxter, he was married to Jodhi Meares from 1999 to 2002.
