Kim Kardashian thrills fans with a rare photo of Caitlyn and Kris Jenner posing in a bathroom

There are doubts about whether Kim Kardashian innocently shared the picture in a friendly gesture to her estranged former stepfather or if she actually wanted to shame Caitlyn Jenner.

Kim Kardashian has been criticized after many of her followers on Instagram considered her to be disrespectful and insensitive for posting a photo of her former stepfather Caitlyn Jenner from before her transition.

As In Touch Weekly reported, Caitlyn and Kardashian are not on good terms ever since Caitlyn’s memoir The Secrets of My Life threw shade on Kardashian’s mother and Caitlyn’s ex-wife Kris Jenner in 2017.

Since Caitlyn and Kardashian seem to have parted ways for good after the feud, no one was expecting to see a picture of Caitlyn in Kardashian’s Instagram profile, as happened on March 30 when Kardashian shared a post celebrating the end of the week.

In the picture, a throwback, Kris and her ex-husband appear together posing in a bathroom, with Kris inside a bathtub covered only by bubbles and Caitlyn sitting on the edge of the tub in a silk robe holding a glass of champagne.

The snap shows Caitlyn before she transitioned, which was seen as a shameful thing to do for Kardashian, who, according to many commenters, should not have shared a picture from Caitlyn’s past, when she still used to identify as male.

According to GLAAD's tips for allies of transgender people, it's considered rude or insensitive to share photos of a transgender person before they transitioned without their permission.

Because of how distant Kardashian and her former stepfather have grown, people is taking for granted that Kardashian didn’t get in touch with Caitlyn to ask her for permission to share the photo, and that’s why they are calling her off.

On November 2017, while attending an event at the Cambridge Union in the UK to discuss her memoir, Caitlyn opened up a little about her current relationship to her former stepchildren, the Kardashian’s, revealing that:

‘To be honest I don’t talk to them anymore. Kim [and] I haven’t talked to in a year. They don’t want me in their lives, the bashed me pretty badly. It’s devastating when your kids do that. It really hurt.’
