Proof that a beagle can be the best babysitter ever. It's so sweet

Dogs are often described as man's best friend, but many pet owners might not realize exactly how fond they are of us.

Charlie the Beagle is a famous dog, as far as dog-popularity goes. He has his own YouTube channel, Charlie The Dog And Baby. The channel has more than 90,000 subscribers.

As reported by Animal Channel, his owners created the account in January 2013 to showcase Charlie's talent. They have trained him to carry out a variety of task.

Charlie can close cabinet doors, fetch the TV remote and take it to the couch, and even change a traffic light. When his owners expected their first child, they knew Charlie would be an asset.

Their baby daughter, Laura Olivia, was introduced to Charlie the moment she came home from the hospital, and the two became friends almost immediately.

Charlie guarded over Laura and made sure she steered clear of harm. When she started to crawl, he would direct her away from dangerous objects.

Soon, he was trained to help change her diapers. He can even cover Laura with a blanket and can play a few notes on her keyboard.

Laura's parents always knew that he would be gentle with their baby, but they were blown away when the saw the bond strengthen between their daughter and beloved pooch.

“We taught our dog how to play keyboard, how to change traffic lights and how to swing a baby crib, but we never had to teach him how to love our daughter.”

Baby Laura is older now, but the two are still the best of friends and spend most of their waking hours together; either playing outside or snuggling up on the couch while watching TV.

The family recently expanded and a beagle puppy named Lily joined the fold.
