The heartfelt message offered a rare glimpse into the family's private grief. Meanwhile, those close to the famous household insist his parents never stopped fighting to help him.

"We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother. We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years," the statement, posted on Sunday, October 18, began. "He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever."
"We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability," the family continued. "We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain."
"Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia 🪽," they concluded. Accompanying the message was a black-and-white photo of Presley, created by artist Sebastian Faena, that showed him smiling and surrounded by angel wings.
Crawford's husband, Rande Gerber, later posted the same tribute on his own page. He also re-shared a post from Kaia on his Instagram Stories, adding a red heart emoji and the words, "My life, my world, my heart. A moment that will live in me forever."
Presley, who followed in his mother's footsteps as a model, was the first child of Crawford and Rande, who are also parents to daughter Kaia Gerber.

The couple's statement arrives nearly a month after his passing. According to a Los Angeles County medical examiner's report obtained by People, Presley was staying at a rehab facility at the time of his death.
Recordings obtained by the outlet revealed that a call was dispatched to Santa Monica police for a cardiac arrest at 9:35 a.m. local time on September 20. A second dispatch indicated that first responders were heading to an overdose at the same address.
In a statement released on September 21, the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) said officers found Presley dead when they arrived at the facility. Authorities added that Santa Monica Police Detectives were "investigating the death as a suspected overdose," noting there is "no indication of foul play."

A source previously revealed that his parents spent years helping him seek treatment, including therapy, inpatient and outpatient rehab and "so many types of homeopathic therapies." An insider close to Crawford also stressed that she and Rande remained consistently involved in their son's life.
"This was never a situation involving two absent Hollywood parents," the source said. "Cindy and Rande could not have been more supportive of Presley. They were always there for him and did everything they could to help him. The family has always been incredibly close, and Presley was deeply loved."
