The touching moment a mother gives birth to a stillborn baby boy - and buries him weeks later
There are many types of pain in this world, and losing a child is one of the worst feelings in it. Only those who have gone through know how cruel it is.
Giving birth is a beautiful moment that is usually filled with happiness, but, unfortunately, it isn't always like that. Sarah Jade, from Melbourne, Australia, realized that on February 10, 2018.
The 33-year-old, along with her 34-year-old husband, Tim, were expecting a beautiful baby boy that they decided to name Aksel Jude, but they were forced to face the reality of their childn's death, as reported by the Daily Mail.
While she was 33 weeks pregnant, doctors noticed that there was something wrong with Aksel. His brain wasn't developing properly, the result of an abnormality called Polymicrogyria.
The condition was so severe that he wouldn't have any quality of life outside the womb. Eventually, his tiny heart stopped while still inside his mother. This broke Jade and Tim's hearts.
According to the source, it was very hard for them to lose Aksel, and Jade wasn't ready to let go. The day after his passing, she went into labor and hired Lacey Barrat, a photographer to register the moment.
She wanted Aksel's birth to be special, to make him feel loved even though he was no longer with them. Holding her deceased baby was traumatic for Jade, but she wanted him to know that she loved him.
The photos helped the couple deal with the pain of losing the baby, which was why Barrat was also present during the funeral that took place almost a month later.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Sarah and Tim already had a 3-year-old son named Arthur, and it was very tricky to explain to him the severity of the situation. He believed that his baby brother was just sleeping.
Sarah spent as much time as possible with Aksel, and even dressed him in baby clothes. He will always be a member of the Jade family despite the little time that he spent with them.
