Nicole Kidman never talks about her 2 kids with Tom Cruise. Here are the alleged reasons
People were shocked when Nicole Kidman made an acceptance speech and didn’t mention her two older children. It appears as though there are reasons for this.
There seems to be a rift between Kidman and her children but none of them have admitted it. Cheat Sheet reported that one of the reasons she doesn’t talk much about them is because of their religion.
During Kidman’s acceptance speech at the 2017 Emmy’s she only mentioned two of her four children. Connor and Isabella Cruise were sidelined and there are 7 possible reasons for this.
Even though Tom Cruise and Kidman remained in the news after their 2001 divorce, the mention of their children who are both adopted seems to have vanished. The children lived with Cruise and relations with their mother appear to have grown more strained through the years.
1. The children ‘chose’ to live with Cruise after the divorce:
According to The Daily Beast, two children remained with Cruise in Los Angeles while Kidman returned to Australia. She rarely saw them even though Isabella said she loved her mother and saw and spoke with her only sometimes.
“They live with Tom, which was their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?”
2. Kidman isn’t a Scientologist:
The children were raised with their father’s faith in the church of Scientology. But Kidman insisted that Scientology did not influence her relationship with the children.
“I’ve chosen not to speak publicly about Scientology. I have two children who are Scientologists—Connor and Isabella—and I utterly respect their beliefs.”

3. Kidman has expressed love for her eldest children:
When the actress played an adoptive mother in the film, Lion she reflected upon her relationship with Isabella and Connor. “I can see now, for Lion, that it was important to me because I’m a mother with adopted children,” she said to Town and Country.
She added that the movie was a love letter to her children.
4. Isabella rejected her mother:
When Cruise married the actress, Katie Holmes, former Scientologist Leah Remini shared her observations about Isabella’s attitude toward her mother in her book. Remini asked Isabella if she’d seen her mother and she responded by calling her mother a suppressive person.
This is a Scientologist term that meant Kidman was an enemy of the church.
5. Kidman didn’t get an invite to Isabella’s wedding:
Cruise approved of the union but also paid for Isabella’s Scientology wedding to IT consultant Max Parker in London. He didn’t attend it but was Kidman didn’t even know that her daughter was getting married.
6. Connor and Isabella did not attend Kidman’s father’s funeral:
When Kidman’s father died of a sudden heart attack, Isabella and Connor didn’t go to the funeral. Connor tweeted that he was “shocked,” but then posted pictures of his Moroccan vacation a few days later.
The actress attended the funeral with Urban and their two children.
7. Kidman and her oldest children seem to have moved on:
The three appear to be living their lives like nothing is happening and Isabella is in London and Connor moved to Florida. Connor is now 23-years-old and has acted in films like Red Dawn and Seven Pounds.
Isabella is 25-years-old and recently started a new clothing line with this silver lining. It’s called BKC or Bella Kidman Cruise. Her mother’s Best Actress Critic’s Choice Award for Big Little Lies saw her thanking all her children this time.
