'Roseanne' fans go crazy over a new Conner family member
The producers’ latest resource to grab the attention of the audience for the successful revival season of Roseanne is an adorable puppy that is already a sensation among fans.
The revival tenth season of the popular sitcom Roseanne has been an impressive success so far, proving the show is as relevant today as it was 20 years ago, when its initial run had come to a closure.
Nostalgia probably has a lot to do with Roseanne's regained popularity, but the producers are making sure that the returning season is appealing to new audiences as well.
The showrunners are apparently playing their cards well and a follow-up season has been announced already. To inject new life into an old concept, the original cast that has come back for the revival edition of the show will meet some newcomer characters.
One of these new characters is already becoming a fan favorite since being introduced in the show’s April 10 episode, as Pop Culture has reported.
The character that is making many of the fans of the sitcom lose their minds is not a human but a cute dog named Armani, that was brought to the Conner family home by Becky (Lecy Goranson) after having adopted it from a shelter.
Becky introduced Armani as part of the beginning of her new life, expecting to get back on her feet with the money she was counting on earning for her surrogacy arrangement with Andrea (Sara Chalke).
‘I'm going to get $50,000, and then I'm going to get a house with a yard and since I'm getting a yard, I can finally get a dog,’ an excited Becky said about her future.
Things take a tragic turn later in the episode when Becky finds out she is not able to have children at her doctor appointment. This, among other things, means that she won’t get the money she was waiting for and won’t be able to leave her current apartment.
As dogs aren’t allowed in Becky’s current residence, she was left with no other choice than to give Armani back to the shelter. That’s when Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) decides to intervene and she embarks on a silly adventure to get the dog back.
