- AmoMama has just learned from Instagram that television host Robin Roberts recently shared a picture of herself with her siblings.
- The four of them all posed on the porch of a house and it was obvious that all three siblings look just like their famous sister.
- Robin Roberts beat breast cancer in 2007 before she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome which is a disease of the bone marrow.
She began her career as a sports anchor on ESPN fifteen years before she became a co-anchor on the nationally syndicated morning show 'Good Morning America' in 2005.
And now Robin Roberts is showing the whole world that she has a family and an emotional side to her.
April 11 was National Siblings Day and many celebrities took the day as an opportunity to show off their siblings.
Many celebrities posted pictures with their siblings and co-anchor on Good Morning America Robin Roberts was not to be left out.
She has three siblings named Butch, Sally-Ann, and Dorothy and she posted a picture with all three of them whom she is extremely close with.
She wrote,
'What a blessing to be their baby sista! Love you Butch, Sally-Ann, and Dorothy! #nationalsiblingsday'
Robin Roberts' elder siblings have had to be there for her in the past and it is a position that they all relish.
All three siblings were there to provide comfort and support when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In 2007, the fifty-six-year-old television broadcaster was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer which she underwent surgery for.
The surgery was followed by eight chemotherapy treatments followed by six-and-a-half weeks of radiation treatment but she battled through and was able to beat cancer.
Robin Roberts was again diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome; a disease of the bone marrow which often occurs after the kind of chemotherapy Robin Roberts underwent.
Robin Roberts had to undergo some form of chemotherapy before she was able to undergo a bone marrow transplant to treat the illness a.d she revealed that it was the hardest period of her life.
She confessed while speaking to Humans of New York that at a certain point the pain and weakness made it hard to even think and that she wanted so much to give up at the time.
Robin Roberts further revealed that she had practically given up but was brought back after she hallucinated her mother's voice calling her back from the brink.
Well, Robin Roberts was able to beat myelodysplastic syndrome after a successful bone marrow transplant and is currently back at work on Good Morning America.
