Serena Williams flashes her curves in a figure-hugging dress 8 months after giving birth to her daughter
AmoMama follows tennis ace Serena Williams’ story and her new HBO documentary Being Serena as reported by The Daily Mail. The couple brought along their daughter to witness momma’s big day.
Wednesday night was a big one for tennis ace, Serena Williams. It was the viewing of her HBO documentary series, Being Serena and she brought along her husband Alexis Ohanian and their daughter Alexis Ohanian for the party. The 36-year-old pro athlete showcased her curves in the bodycon outfit eight months after giving birth to her daughter. Her bare-legged sandal heels revealed a neat pedicure and she accessorized with dangly earrings. She let her curly hair down.
Serena’s husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis, 35, looked dapper in a black two-piece suit with a white shirt and shiny gray tie. The couple tied the knot in New Orleans in November.
Joining the Ohanians for the big day was Venus – Serena’s sister, sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid and Anna Wintour among other distinguished guests. The HBO documentary, which premieres on May 2, follows Serena on her pregnancy journey, the birth of her first child and her marriage. It also looks into her world as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. As a tennis icon, she has won 39 Grand Slam titles and four Olympic Gold Medals and is currently working on her return to competitive tennis.
In the documentary, the tennis champion says why she wanted to do the documentary.
“A lot of people see me on the court, and they only judge and see that side of me, and there’s so much more to my life and to me. That’s not me, actually to be honest, on the court. As much a part of my life as it is, I become a different person when I play tennis. The second I step onto the facilities, the grounds, I become a different person, and the second I step off, I’m back to being Serena, no pun intended. So I thought it would be interesting, while we were going through this process, if I just took all the curtains away, and I was just myself.”
When asked why she ended up with Ohanian and not other men she had dated such as Common and Drake, Serena said; “Ultimately I wanted to be with someone who treated me nice, someone who was able to laugh with me and someone who understood my life and someone that loved me.”
