Ty Pennington suddenly disappeared from TV. So where is he now?

There are several alleged reasons behind the sudden disappearance of one of the popular television hosts.

Ty Pennington was one of the most famous television hosts until he suddenly left the limelight and gradually faded out from the entertainment scene.

According to The List, the famous designer-host allegedly disappeared from the Hollywood spotlight because of several personal issues that he faced - starting with his arrest for driving under influence.

On May 5, 2007, Pennington was arrested for driving under the influence, for which he later apologized to his fans and employer, ABC.

"I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes; however, this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving," the source quoted Pennington as revealing.

The host continues to be ashamed about his action and his eventual arrest to this day, according to the online source.

Pennington's longstanding battle with ADHD might also be one of the reasons for his gradual disappearance from the television screens.

The host had formerly admitted that his attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder had led him to remain 'animated and active' on television. He had also admitted that his condition was under control after seeing a psychiatrist and regularly taking his medication.

These days, Pennington is taking time to catch up with his hobbies. As an aspiring photographer, he is trying to devote more time to his hobbies that his career. The source quoted him telling in an interview that his favorite tool was "not a hammer or drill" but a "camera."

In 2013, the designer also partnered with the big box store, Sears, to begin his own - and the very first - collection of outdoor patio furniture.

Pennington is no longer a popular face on the television. But it seems he has found himself a great life outside of the entertainment limelight with plenty of creative hobbies to keep himself occupied.
