Si Robertson, more popularly known as Uncle Si, was a major part of Duck Dynasty for 11 seasons, and yet his wife, Christine Roberston, never made an appearance at his side with the rest of his family.

As reported by Country Music Nation, the couple have been married since 1971, after Uncle Si admitted he had to repeatedly ask for "Miss Christine"'s hand in marriage.

Uncle Si's family members were all joined by a significant other at some point during the 11-season run of Duck Dynasty, and fans don't understand why Christine never appeared on the show

But Uncle Si did explain his wife's decision to abstain from appearing on the show, revealing in an interview with Us Weekly:"I always told people, 'She's got better sense than the rest of us.'"

He also admitted that her health wasn't up to the rigorous filming schedule that sometimes sees the family on their feet in front of the camera for up to 12 hours in a day.

"But, ah, it ain't no big deal. She wants no part of it anyway. She's been married to me for 43 years. The last thing she needs is to watch us on a TV show," he added.

For Uncle Si, he often shares his wife's sentiments on the limelight, confessing he's not entirely comfortable with being the center of attention.

“Celebrity life is not all it’s cracked up to be!” he shared. “If I had a choice to go somewhere or stay home, I’d stay home. I’m a homebody. Christine’s the same.”

Despite her husband's choice in career, Christine probably doesn't have too much to complain about, as it seems Uncle Si is a hopeless romantic at heart.

For their 43rd anniversary in 2014, the couple renewed their vows. Uncle Si also recorded an entire album dedicated to Christine.
