Gwen Stefani gave birth to twins, joked Blake Shelton before their duet
Blake Shelton cracked a joke that got a few chuckles out of the crowd.
Shelton, 41, and Stefani, 48, have been the subjects of tabloid gossip since they began dating in November 2015.
There are a lot of rumors swirling around the couple such as they’re engaged, married, or expecting a baby.
The God Gave Me You singer decided to poke fun at these rumors when she introduced Stefani to the crowd during his practice show at his venue, Ole Red, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on February 10, 2018.
“Ladies and gentleman, you guys are very lucky... she actually gave birth to twins yesterday. And she’s here tonight to sing with me," Shelton said in the YouTube video posted by Baylee.
The crowd erupted in applause and cheering when Stefani walked on the stage. Though not always, the Hollaback Girl singer usually treats the crowd to a performance every time she attends Shelton’s shows.
The couple then performed their duet, Go Ahead and Break My Heart. They co-wrote the song for Shelton’s album, If I’m Honest, in 2016.
The country superstar, who was crowned the 'Sexiest Man Alive' last year, didn't release Go Ahead and Break My Heart as a single, but it still reached the 13th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart and the 70th spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Shelton and Stefani place their love on full display whenever they sing it. Throughout most of the song, they just keep staring and smiling at each other. The couple made it obvious they were having a wonderful time together.
As soon as the song ended, Shelton reached for Stefani and pulled her close. Then, they shared a kiss before Stefani walked off the stage.
The loved-up pair fell in love while serving as coaches on The Voice. Both of them announced their split from their former spouses a few months earlier.
